Watching the BBC Coverage Toseland popped up again and he looks ill or has had a plastic face he looks like Joan Rivers .I had a quick look on Google images and the Toseland of old looks a lot better .Sounds a Gay observation but very weird all the same.

Thanks for putting in the work dude . Can anyone explain the point of Colin Edwards wobbling about at the back of the pack when he could do a decent job in world supers? Can't be the dosh surely?.

When Colin went to CRT he was hailing CRT as the new beginning and was joining them from Tech 3 as there was no where for him to go otherwise at contract time. He did say he was happy to be in CRT as he was going to help develop a new era in racing. I think at the time we all "bought" that idea and it may still be true, but lets face it who cares who is in park ferme from the CRT tribe at the end of the race, because they are rarely racing against anyone. By the way I am a CE fan.

The fact is that there just isn't enough top level bikes to go around. The sport needs Suzuki to come back into the fray with at least two bikes and satellite options. Likewise Aprillia. The whole MotoGP scene is just a little too stagnant, there is no room for moto3 and moto2 riders to progress through the ranks. But there just isn't the money about apparently.

Whatever happened to the rule about "Rookie" (I hate the americanism but we don't have an English word for that, I also hate it when the commentators say "straightaway" too), MotoGP riders not being able to go straight into a factory ride, maybe that rule should've stayed and Marquez should be on a satellite bike for a couple of years, isn't that what held Crutchlow back? But maybe Honda muscle is too strong when it comes to setting the rules, and maybe that is why Suzuki didn't want to play anymore.

You can't tell me Suzuki can't field a team before 2015, I bet they could've entered this year's circus and still been more competitive than the CRT machines. But obviously it takes time for the rules to be changed in Suzuki's favour, or maybe even neutralise the rules. IE we'll come back to MotoGP when Dorna stop bowing down to Honda's manipulations. By that I mean, Moto2, and supplying engines, and what Honda get in return.

In Dorna's defence I don't think they had an option MotoGP, mainly due to escalating costs was dying and Honda offered them a lifeline in return for a bit more clout when it came to rule changing. At the time I seem to remember WSB being top dog when it came to TV motorcycle racing, so Dorna were desperate.

That's enough for now RSI creeping in :)

    Lots of great views here.

Mike, you're right. I became aware that Toseland had been replaced with a wax work dummy of himself when he was on Question of Sport and the only question he got right was "and your name is...?"

Jamie, the Repsol and Spain connection is huge and Marquez in the mix will certainly dilute the Pedrosa orange squash somewhat. I'm sure there was a big 'to do' that Puig was integral to ousting Hayden, just to give his sock puppet a clearer run.

Kevin, I'm afraid the BBC has to use words like 'rookie' and 'straight away', because the septics don't have much of a grasp of English and the Beeb needs the revenue from across the pond to continue to produce terrific television such as 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'Eastenders'. Introducing Amur'cun words means the programming won't be mistaken for Hispanic news.

You're also right about CRT. Who the f**k cares, who's quickest of the last finishers. What would be more fun would be to replace the CRT bikes with raffle winning track day monkeys so we can see the prototypes weaving in between the bloke from Accounts on his GS with something to prove to his mates and Blaggers in his 1000 stitch scarf, banzai-ing into the scenery every other bend....

No, wait....they've got Abraham for that, haven't they...

Cant believe im saying this, racing improves the breed and all....

but all we need is 30 x 1000cc same spec motor moto1 bikes. Job done.

Let them have it on control bikes at similar cost and let the talent rise to the top.

Engineering can go into electronics, brakes and chasis, where it counts. Do we really need more R&D on bhp figures to filter down to the road bikes we currently have at +180bhp?

    Are you alright, James....

That was a particularly lucid and frighteningly grown up, non Reaper statement.

    It's made my palms sweaty...

Look on the bright side, Rich, next month I'll be taking another step closer to Givover's age...He's so old English Heritage has listed him.

His foundations looked a bit suspect the last time I saw him. Touch of dry-rot too if I'm not mistaken.

I'd love to see those two race MotoGP but really only to see just how far they got left behind. I have my suspicions that the gulf between TT / road racers' abilities and the top flight of MotoGP is massive.

To be fair any woman not suffering from dwarfism would be taller than Pedrosa. They say he's hung like a Spanish donkey you know..........ok I made that up but it made me giggle like a three year old :)
