That's me mate! Sorry, been manic and there's certainly a social side of this snooze box in the evenings! Great pic, did you get any of my brother? Was good meeting you
I am at the social side of whittlebiry camp site! Think I have q pic of you both. Know what you mean about busy days!
Sorry to hijack but was just after both of your opinion, was the gp worth the entrance price? I often go to the BSB and the british round of the WSB but was wondering about the GP for next year, ?
Hi Repsol, This was my first time to Motogp and like you I often go to BSB and WSB, I bought a roving grandstand ticket and sat in Luffield A. The ticket price was £80 which is a fair of whack, but, to be there and see some of the best racing in Moto 2 and MotoGP was a real treat. Luffield was a superb spot and I had the giant screen right in front of me. I would certainly go again.
i was there again on sunday and thought there was much more in the way of stands and entertainment and was well worth it price wise. got a great seat in luffield at 7.10am and never moved till after the moto gp race as if i,d moved the seat would have gone. might look into reserve seat next time.
I had a superb weekend for my £40 ticket 3 days there, camped at Whittlebury Park which worked out at £40 each for 3 nights - its a 10 minute walk to circuit The facilities now are superb, the entertainment good and stands etc. really help. The weather this year was good, but Saturday was cold and even on SUnday if you had a seat in a covered stand it was 'freezing' in the northerly wind. As other say, racing was epic - the Snoozeboxes looked great for 2, way too small for 3 to share I think but Fezzer can give his verdict, only downside is price will be much higher for next year, that said it includes a private grandstand which is warm and covered should weather be terrible plus you are staying 'on track' Got loads of pics and video to go through now as everyone itching to see it put together.
Best to google image search - I had a quick look on Sunday afternoon - they really are just somewhere to sleep, shower and another word starting with sh... Its a double bed with a single above it at right angles, a wet 'room' or area with toilet and shower - a TV on the wall, a/c unit and very little space if I'm honest - but its not trying to be anything other than a place to sleep in warm and dry and spotlessly clean conditions.
Here's the link to the snooze box accommodation. Snoozebox | Accommodation | Silverstone | 2013 It's basically a load of storage containers bolted together with the interiors remodelled and retrofitted for accommodation purposes!
I paid 90quid and was in Copse and loved it! Not quite the atmosphere of Mugello but still a great experience
Ill put a review up of the snoozebox and my weekend later but needless to say a great weekend! Got some pics too to show snoozebox etc Cheers for the pic Allblade
Having gone to just 1 BSB weekend and last years Moto GP. I loved both and will be going back to more BSB and Moto GP races but you do get closer to the riders etc... than Moto GP. the wife was not that bothered about BSB but after going she and the kids loved it. As they did the Moto GP. So in the end if your pockets are deep enough go to as many as you can and have a great time> Even if it was a wash out like the Sat I had at thruxton
