FFS I buy a blade for amongst other things there reliability and the bastard is spitting oil over my right boot:rolleyes:......even my 16yr old buell don't do that.
It seems a bit grimey around the bottom of the primary cover but there are no obvious drips, just after a good thrash the bottom half of the front of my boot has a fine spray of oil all over it. I also noticed it squirming a bit when right over the tyre edge while roundabout surfing but no real wetness on the tyre.
Are there any likely culprits for this type of leak.
Need to fix it quick or my mate with an oil tight 40yr old BSA cafe racer will become un bearably smug:mad:
    Please help
    Rich

Sounds like someone (previous owner) been in at the clutch and been a tight git and not used a new gasket. Old gasket will have been damaged slightly, prob not enough to see or for oil to leak but when engine revs get up some will get blown out.

My blade leaked from there within its first 1000. Miles, it was not obvious where the leak was coming from but ended up being the oil pressure switch just below the casing, however where the oil was you would never have known!

Your right, it's a very quick drying liquid gasket they use.

So it's still a gasket then, and the service manual says to clean off and replace?

Lean the bike over, you'll lose a bit that's already in the cover but the bulk of it will stay in the sump
