everyone watches it over here, has a bit of the father ted madness about it, especially the alter boy mafia.
I had a friend from Kilkenny who maintained that the people in her village thought Father Ted was a documentary.
April!! They must be still making it!! That twisted young King has it coming to him the little shit.Lets hope it is as good as the last 3 seasons.
Yup - love that show. The cars are cool but the characters in that garage are something else. Tom the mechanic is just legendary. Crazy as a box of frogs lol
Fav TV show is Every body loves Raymond its on most nights .The dryness / One liners / Put downs are epic and the mother is awesome.
Tom is crazy but bloody funny. Was a shame its the end of the series and hoping we don't have to wait to long for the next series
Just watched the original 3.10 to Yuma (1957). Now I have watched this before, but god that is a good film. Especially considering when it was made. Glenn Ford is the coolest badass in the world. If you like old westerns download it on sky on demand before its taken off.
Oooh I can't wait I watched World War Z the other night and a bloody good film it is too, so had abit of a zombie fix but Walking Dead is amazing very excited!!...
Never seen the original, but I thought the recent remake with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe was also particularly good. Great performances by both actors.
Really!? I thought World War Z was dire. You could almost see the joins in the movie where the ending was reshot - it was that obvious. And there is no excuse for almost stopping the movie for a "Pepsi moment" just to give some blatant product placement. I was actually laughing towards the end. Do like a bit of Walking Dead tho - no faulting that show
I have the new one and will watch it again to see how it compares. It was Glenn Ford that blew me away in the old one. I always thought McQueen was cool, but his performance blew me away. You really did want him to nail the girl, kill the goodies and ride off into the sunset
Glenn Ford was a brilliant 'under' film actor. Many of his nuances would have been lost on stage, you needed a close up to follow them. Shatner's alter ego. I loved Steve McQueen, but ultimately, the cool was all there was. His range was limited, but the cool was so cool, it didn't really show. Antonio Banderas is similar. I've not paid too much attention to the execrable quality of many of his films because he's just so damn cool... Even the theme to 3:10 to Yuma was cool. Frankie Laine's voice still sends shivers.
I was just disappointed that World War Z didn't follow as per the book, and only really used the name. Haven't seen the movie yet. Looking forward to Walking Dead starting back. Have still to get my book 9 delivered on this as well. However, I have been reading the Deadlocked series on my ipad, which would make a far better TV series than Walking Dead. Still enjoying WD though.
Not seen it before. Sky 252 travel channel plus 1 at 9pm Worlds greatest motorcycle rides. This week is Americas Deep South. Prob just some dude on a hardley movingson but series linked it. You never know! Might be worth a butchers....
