And a Goose that lays golden eggs?

Any suggestions? Had PR2's and 3's good, but not sticky enough. BT-0023's definately not sticky enough.
Thinking Michelin .. but dunno which one!

Where have you found the 023's not sticky enough?

Ron Haslam puts them on his race school bikes, I've never known anyone with them have problems, even in 35' heat they are fine

How many miles you done on 023's ?

I've had a set of them for 3 months! ..

I find the feedback from the front minimal when cornering, not at hard leans but intermediate angles when the harder compound is still partially in contact perhaps, its obviously possible there are setup issue with my bike.. however even with tyres I don't like there are no chicken strips on them.
In hot weather I have no issues at around 20 degrees or below they are easily confused by a change in road surface ...
Bridgestone PAID Ron to use their tyres and to make that film don't be so easily fooled guys.

I've ridden other blades with sport tyres and similar setups to mine and NOT had this issue. So it's plainly the tyres.

Has anyone tried Power Pures? Is that right ? ARe they dual compound 2CT does that mean dual compound .. I need a tyre expert ..

Here are my 023's in use

And this is them in the snow at Oulton Park trackday 3 weeks after a trackday at Mallory where they got well snotted up (as per the pic) - and the trackday still went ahead at Oulton!

I've left many a black line round the Pyrenees with them and at Donny had them up to proper temperature where the grip was good I got my can down

Tyres are very personal thing, what 1 person raves about somebody else may hate

Ok I agree Ron probably did get a deal from Bridgestone but he still runs them on the fleet of bikes he puts on the track and depending on the rider they don't exactly hang around on em!

Sounds a good enough reason for your concerns to me Mr.
Personally though, so far I'm not experiencing any of the issues you state, that said every rider is different and their needs differ.
I'm running the 23's at the minute. For me they are doing the job I intended them to do.
I get confused when trying to translate OP's data into what I actually want from something, all I can say about them at present, the level of grip and feed back I'm getting from them seems to be taming my demons 'which I have many'
Hope the person with your answer pops along shortly and sets you in the right direction :)
As for the chicken strips? I've seen supposedly better tyres with bigger ones ;)
Tyre reviews are just that. People's opinions brought as one and then deciphered for a general account.
I often wonder If a lot is the placebo effect?
After all, if tyres were so shite? Would they be for sale on the open market in the 1st place?
Perhaps some feed back is more a question of the operator blaming the tools?

i run pirelli rosso corsas - dual compound - i ride full days on weekends on the winding mountain roads of SE queensland and theyre perfect - these tyres give me the stick i want with the wearability i need - one of these days ill lash out and get the full sticky pirelli super corsas but till then - im happy with the rosso corsas lasts me around 5000 miles - the best motorcycle insurance for me is a good nights sleep, detailed maintenance and licorice sticky tyres.

I would have thought that if the OP has ridden other blades with different sport tyres and they have not have the issues he is finding, then surely he knows the answer....go buy a set of what was on the other bikes he rode and if he needs touring mileage out of them just accept he will have to change them more frequently...its like owning a Ferrari, great at tracks and fast blasts but not so good on the Tesco run, everything in life is a compromise, or am I missing something here?

Roadsmart 2's without a doubt the beet ST tyre I have ever used, did 25k miles on them on my 600rr and have done nearly 10k miles on them on my blade (different sets ofcourse!!). They have so much more feel than the bt023s IMO in both wet and dry conditions. They last forever and are essentially a longlife version of the sportsmarts which are also a fantastic tyre. A bit more expensive but well worth the money.

And to be honest mates if you're using PR3s and not getting enough stick out of em you either need to drop some pressure, ride faster and get some heat in them or switch to something like racetechs. Defeating the point of trying to get any sort of mileage out of em. If you are touring you need to accept you may have a bit less grip with an ST tyre and adjust your riding. Although when I went to scotland in the summer on Roadsmart 2s I overtook every bike I saw and still did the knee down etc. Etc. Plenty of grip!!

If you liked the Pilot Road 3s but not sticky enough, then the logical choice is the Michelin Pilot Power 3s. I've used Pilot Power 2CTs for the last few years, then tried Pilot Power 3s this year - can't fault 'em - good mileage as well.
