Going for a suspension set up on Saturday dinner time , £50 ride in ride out . KAIS suspension services , , BMW I really do like them ..........
Sorry about missing your call mate, been VERY busy and lots going on! Sounds like your heading to the right place, in the mean time you can check the forks and rear end are free moving, forks are diving free and easy and not binding in any way, could be the front end is pinched inwards causing them to bind or stick over the duration of the slide of the fork? Could be the rear shock has an issue and is bound... You could wind off fully the Comp and Reb and bounce the front to see if the fork responds, don't forget to take a note of how many clicks etc...
Can't think of a reason why it would suddenly go off mate other than failure of some kind, front end oil viscosity does not change hugely as unlike the rear shock it does not get that hot, the rear could suffer gas issues for example that may lead to sudden failure causing binding or a very stiff shock, you should be able to dial it right off and get some response or movement showing that its working, IF its solid and does not respond to change of settings then you could say its failed and needs replacing under warantee. The rear should compress fairly easy and rise steady in a controlled manor over say a half to one second again showing that the damping is working and the rear end rises and falls in a controlled manor.
I understand a bit of what your saying Arthur , but you are talking to someone that don't Get along with tools , we start off well but end up in different fields lol . I'll let the experts have a look and they can tell me if all is good or something wrong , Worth £50 I reckon ,
Lol, good luck mate sure it will be fine... and so what if you need full superbike gas forks and k-tech superbike shock for 15 grand you know what to ask for...
Is that the BMW that has not taken a single podium at the TT - probably the toughest road race in the world? Kais will see you right - £50 well spent I can assure you
No it's the BMW that won the superstock races and left honda , kwak , duke , for dead . Sylvain Barrier (BMW Motorrad Italia GoldBet) won again, Back to back champ ? It's possible .
Has the BMW won on the isle of man? It's a real weapon, the vibration at 4,000 revs which affects 4 of the 4 s1000's I know of, the rusty sumps replaced under warranty. Add a qs to your one and put change the gearing to drop top speed but make it more responsive and think you will find a huge difference.
Barney I know what you mean, I get those kinda days sometimes. Sometimes it just doesn't feel right, nothing's changed. I've even come home on occasion because I'm not enjoying the ride.
