If im going out for what I know will be a spirited ride I wear one, I have the same Knox one pictured above. Never ride the bike without my leathers though but im a sunny afternoon rider not hardcore all weather :)

I always have one one, Road or track. I should ware my chest protector more on road but at the moment only use i on track.

I tried all the well known makes and went for this one. due to how well it fits. I had knox, did not like. Had a Force field one in my BKS suit but removed it for this Dainses one

Dainese - PARASCHIENA WAVE CON SCAPOLE - Motorbike - Gran Bretagna - Inglese

I've got one of those. It's great - surprisingly comfortable, but still tough enough to give you confidence that it will protect you in the event of an off. Obviously not got the protection of a longer one but I would still recommend it. And they are pretty cheap too :)

I tried the longer vertebrae looking things and found them to restrictive and uncomfortable.

I got a short dainese one in my jacket and wouldn't ride without it! On long back protectors the size is key, I borrow a mates to see what it was like and got on with it no problem.

I'm a firm believer in the it's better to have something and not need it, than have nothing when you need it most!

Recently bought the spidi back and chest protector, fits really well under 2 piece leathers as it fastens around chest and not the waist,so it isn't a problem getting them zipped together. I previously used the force field protector but found it cuts in around your waist when sat on a sportsbike.
I do like the odd pie and pint tho:D

Always ride with one, to me riding with out one is along the same lines of riding with out any leathers on, just not worth the risk

I use the Knox Track Vest and it's feckin ACE!

Fits nicely under the Spidi's for Track day's and is just as un-noticeable under the Gortex on Road Trips.

It covers the all important 'Tail Bone' and stays put when donning and 'un-donning' (if that's a real word) 1 piece leathers.

As always, PM AndyO at DT for a 'Bit-ov-a-deal'! ;)

knox aegis, most comfortable back protector I have used.
also tested it by sliding down a road with a bike on my back :D

I didn't use one for years, then a friend suggested it was a good idea and I always wear one now. I have a Knox back protector and it makes you feel lovely and secure, it also takes out the slack in my leathers so I love it

I used to ride just in normal jeans and a leather jackets n boots n gloves, dunno why but woke up one day and thought if i was ever to come off id have no legs and id hae to b a burden on loved ones, so now i wear knox knee pads and impact shorts with kevalar jeans, always have slipped in a back protector in me leather jacket.

In winter oct - March i wear a 2 piece gortex suit and that has all the padding in aswell as slipping in a back protector with the added bonus of keeping me warm n dry.

Saw an inian bloke on a fazer yesterday cus of his turban wasnt wearing a helmet, im all for allowing people to express their religious beliefs but it aint gonna save ur nut if u happen to come off :( :(
