As title says really , why are weather forecasts so sh*t these days. Got the bike all ready for a good run out today to get some miles on her as it was meant to be a cracking day up here. But no no no wind and pissing rain at the moment Been away with work for 3 weeks so dying to get another few blasts before shes packed away for winter. Ah well doesn`t look like it`ll happen today, back to the DIY it is then !
I know you want it dry and sunny , but come on dude , Leathers on and get out there , you can still have fun in the wet ,
Know what your saying bud but couple that to all the combine harvester residue on the roads too. Just not risking it mate
This is a question I've been ranting about for a while now. The met office is five miles from my front door and recently any forecast more than a couple of days in advance gets changed within a day. That's not forecasting, that's looking out the frigging window. I've been there and seen their 'super computer', there's an awful lot of money been spent there for doing research for supermarkets and manufacturers. Be nice if they went back to. Doing what their funding is supposed to be for.
I was going to initially say try staying Scotland, till i seen you were! I thought Aberdeen was going to be good
Exactly mate. It's just annoying when you see the forecast for the next day and you expect it to be right only to get up look out the window and its totally different !!. Especially when you've planned things
The worst of it is that they change the forecast to suit whatever is happening at the time. Shit, I can do that. It's bloody condescending to still publish it and imply that its some brilliantly scientific meteorological feat on their part.
Just back from B&Q and roads are in hell of a mess. Spray from lorries etc. bollocks to that as that's not biking fun to me
Similar view down here in perth, shame I've got the grass to cut,car to wash and a 3 year old to look after
Yeah similar story here, mate. My lawns look like a prairie and I'm due to be at a BBQ / party type thing by 2 o'clock so very little chance to get out and enjoy it I'm afraid.
Nice I was just thinking how cool it would've been to head up to Hartside today. Have fun for me will you, mate?
Yep, that's what they promised us and last evening, this was the view from my drive across the estuary... ...so I was battening down the hatches, but... ...all night and this morning so far....dry.
