No, but I'am sure they were on a TV program recently & have won some technology awards; so probably pretty good company.
Thanks BoroRich for this posting - it reminded me to get one. Have just ordered the Knox Track Vest. Hope i get on with it ok. It has to be a million times better than the back protector I had back in the early 90's - like hard non-flexible thick cardboard. So uncomfortable you just wouldn't wear it & probably offered very little protection anyway. I had a look at pics of my old all in one suit from the early 90's - no body armour, thin leather etc. Boots & gloves were the same. Things have come on a long way since I was biking back in those days lol
Has just arrived at my work address. Looks great quality & fits like a glove. Hope it fits ok under my leathers - should be ok & it's not bulky at all. Misses would kill me if i had to buy new leathers as only got my Furyigan's earlier this year lol
I will second that, it is a great bit of kit, very comfortable when on but certainly does the job when you need it to!
No problem, mate. I went out with mine on for the first time since I got my new, larger leathers. Felt good to have it back on but it's a bit of a cram in there Think it could be time for a new one to replace my Knox Ricochet.
Well, tried the new knox track vest when I got home - bl**dy hell it's a tight squeeze with my leathers on. Note to self: next time get back protector first then leathers lol All joking apart it does seem a very good bit of kit - even better if my leather jacket was that tiny bit bigger
It'll stretch a bit to accommodate the new 'addition' to your body! Mine was a tadge tight on initial use but after two rides out it was fine.
on a hot day I near need two people to get my leathers off my shoulders and arms, there is no way one of them vests would fit under.thats why I went with aegis model.
Same here Phantom, I can not get my leathers off on my own Hot or Cold before I got the Track Vest. TBH it made no difference in getting the Leathers on or off as it's my shoulder width that causes the problem not a slight addition to my back depth.
I think there's a bigger issue here guys.... I think quite a few of you may be wearing incorrectly fitting suits
not me, I wear a snug suit after a highside with an older loose suit left me with loads of friction burns so I got a custom snug race suit
I have Knox back protectors in all my riding kit, I think that once you get used to the little bit of extra bulk then you don't notice, also you only get one spine and its a bugger to fix if you break it and hat can happen at any speed
