I'm looking for Redditch's answer to James Bond? I part ex'ed my BMW 330d m Sport at sytner Sheffield and I'm sure it's popped up at Monarch Motor Company in Redditch, I sold the vehicle without a full service record and now it has one, amazing don't you think? Now I'm not absolutely sure it's my car because there is no picture and the new number has only just been assigned, I need some one to go in have a look, take a pic and ask to inspect the service book. Why you might ask, I want to know if a BMW main dealer will stamp a service book up to date?

Don't we all want to know??

Probably stamped it up themselves with different stamps.

The motor trade is full of corruption everywhere you look and the main dealers are the worst for it. Stick to the small family run business.

I might just do that Rob, I've just sent off the V5 to Sytner and my retention certificate so they can sell the car now, I would love to know who stamped the book though.

Was it black with beige leather because there is a photo now. I'm about 1 mile from the dealer so could go and have a nose if you are sure it was your old car. If they are tampering with the service record Worcestershire Regulatory Services would no doubt be interested.

Yes I was looking at the pic last night, definitely my car, there are a few paint issues down the near side and on the front bumper. It is a nice car with very good spec, I bought the car 4 1/2 years ago and had one oil only service stamped in the book, they only gave me £7000 for the car because of the lack of a service history? I'm not bothered how they sell the car but I would love to know just for interests sake? If you fancy a nose, for £9450 they expect you to ask searching questions.

    Don't put yourself out though

Hi Carl, I hate this kind of mall practice, I am sure trading standards might be interested in this story if your proven correct.
If I get time I might call them myself and act like a thick punter. How many owners, anything else that might be useful to ask them.
On the other end of the scale my blade has now been put up for sale at St Neots Motorcycles, only £300 more than they paid me for it and with dealer facilities and warranty. Seems fair enough to me. Although it's been put back to OE so expect an Akro system and R&G tail tidy plus a few other bits to appear on fleabay anytime now.
