Passed my test a little over 8 weeks now, had new rubber fitted as the rear had been squared off by the previous owner, I've trawled through the forum to digest all the advice I possibly can, I'm now down to below 5mm of chicken strips on the right hand side of the tyre & just above that on the left hand side, my only concern now is, is there a warning that ill pick up on apart from grinding the pegs on the floor once I'm over that far, ( apart from flying into a tree!) or is it just a matter of time & practice. I know I shouldn't be pushing hard on the road but its the danger that keeps me riding passed the garage after I've told myself I'm going home, bet I'm not he only 1:D

Lift half a bum cheek off your seat, crank it over.. Look over the mirror and they will soon disappear :) The hero blobs on our pegs will catch before anything else.

I for one wouldn't be encouraging you to try and get ya knee down etc after having only passed ya test 2 months ago!

Concentrate on getting used to your bike and gaining road experience.

You'd do far better spending money on some private Track Tuition if you dead set on doing some 'ard cornerin' !

Tiz far cheaper than new bodywork!

    Dunno TBH!

Obvious route is to find your nearest Track and then visit their website and see if they offer 1-2-1 Track Tuition for Bikes.

Failing that any of the No Limits or MSV Track Day's have Free instructors to collar

As the others have said, just take your time and learn the feel for the bike. A track day with No Limits would be a good idea, book into the novice class and grab an instructor. You will learn a lot from the day and hopefully get the trackday bug.

also a little counter steering will soon have them off but no rush,
get used to the bike first.
