Well at 13.00 hrs today we went for a test ride on a BMW S1000RR Quick look over the controls and away we went , Oh my oh my oh my ............ ... We were in rain mode for a while just to get used to the bike But after 5 mins switched it to race and there's a difference Straight away bike accelerates much quicker and felt much Better has if it wanted to get going instead of pissing about , Soon found out bike had a limiter on it ten thousand rev's A bit fed up with that but still had some fun , First thing I noticed was the brakes bloody amazing, brembo The suspension was spot on , felt very very smooth , The good lady found the bike to be very comfortable and said it feels much better than your blade ? Huh thanks That's just me telling you this I'm not a Rossi or know The in' s and out's of this and that , but we had a great 2hrs, We took the bike back and the questions were asked how you like it ? What it feel like and so on , great , just bloody fantastic bike , ( While we was away he looked over my bike ) I can do you a very good deal Steve came the next question , and what's that then , He offered me £8300 yes that's right £8300 for the blade against a 2013 BMW mk11, I said that's a great offer but throw the akra exhaust in and you got a deal , He said no can't do that your looking at around £700/800 for that , so we said are goodbyes and off we went , now I've been walking my dogs and while I was in the Middle of nowhere the phone rings hi mr Thomas its , you guessed it BMW dealer I've had a good think and I'll do the deal with you and give you the exhaust also , deal can be done and bike ready for next Friday , now is it worth it . . . . Well I think you have answered your own question .Amazing Brakes ...very very smooth ..bloody fantastic bike..as much as I am a massive massive fan of the blade its now well past time for a makeover Honda has the bike the legions of loyal owners time to step up to the plate ,surely a set of decent brakes is not too much to ask?
Told you mate they are a great bike and like you said full brembo brakes are excellent . What colour you fancy ?
Go 4 it Barney! I looked at an HP4S before I bought the Blade but the Blade won just because of the Zero % finance. My next Bike will be a BMW or an Aprilia RSV4 if the next Gen Blade 'aint all that' etc.
Top bikes - rode a few - a mate is a Salesman at a BM Dealer. Agree brakes are amazing! That's a top px offer for the Blade - what year / mileage is it? Cheers, Ian.
I've a Granite Grey 2013 covered 2000 miles now they don't really wake up till 10k but the power surge is unreal at the top end. Which dealer is that from? Try negotiate the running in 600 mile service in the deal as this is when they remove the 9k running in limiter electronically (cost me £150). The new colours are showing on the BMW Motorrad page so see if you can bag a 2014 bike. I have a full stainless Akro for sale if you fancy it???
i went out on an rsv4 today , wrists hurting after about 2 miles,and the engine was not as good from low revs as i thought it would be. 1st gear ratio is far too long ,had to give it some good clutch slip to get it moving , bloody fast as the revs rose though. it was nice to get back on the blade ,although i will be trying the tuono when they get them on demo again.

I get it now ! Barney sneaks off behind all our backs and samples wears from another " cough" manufacturer and then to take the heat off himself stages a breakfast and then deflects the anger " and rightly so" on to me ..BAN him now I say !
