I stripped out all the little bits I put in and left it Original just in case it was one of them that was causing the fault, now its in original condition. but thanks for the help guys, I'll have a go at sorting this out tomorrow. I'll update you later.
Just a quick thought, but I do remember that the wires/loom runs down the left hand side at the rear and very close to the exhaust......I know it sounds obvious, but make sure the loom hasn't melted against the exhaust
I'll check, but the only wire thats close to the exhaust at the minute is the number plate light, and it hasnt really been running much, as this issue unfolded before my ride out. and all the other wires that are close have been isolated from the loom already, and I checked each indicator except the front one's for function, but I will be stripping the bike down and isolating the lot. havnt isolated an Alarm before though.
What alarm? Fitting load resistors to the output side of the alarm could have toasted it! You need to disconnect the alarm output to the indicators and see if the system works. Bet you it will! In which case its the alarms signal output thats at fault. Should be easy to trace back from your signals to the alarm.
I have isolated the leds front and back and it seems thats where the fault lay as now everything is working as it should, although I am confused as to why my Front led's are at 7 Ohm both ways without the resistors attached. The alarm was causing the fuse to blow as it looks as though I had a short in the loom, which looks like the front led? wierd. Does any one know, if their is an issue with using differant type of led indicators? front are multiple led's and the rear is a single high intensity led. didnt realise how easy the Alarm is to remove lol.
Yeah Alarms hey....whats the point of them... Road Angel trackers are better but even then some still loose bikes! Any way never had a problem with LED signals not matching ever! And have know people put right lash ups on there bikes and still have no problem.. So is it all working now mate?
Not yet Arthur going to redo the wiring for the rear first, and work out whats the matter with the front? if the issue is still with the front indicators? my battery was nearly empty when I went out to day? weather has been rubbish of late and I aint got decent enough lighting in the garage. but I'm not stressing as much as the otheir day.
Hi dave , Any chance you could send me on a copy of that PDF file. I have an indicator not working and when I followed the wiring the resistors were broken off so I need to rewire them in from scratch. A yellow wire put on the indicator light permanantly so I guess the resistor might sort it out for me. if you could send it on that would be great thanks. Thomas
Can you please sent it with pm to me too mate?I'm looking for 06-07 diagram some months now and i got a serious turn signal problem.
use this one as its only a bodywork/fork angle change on the 06 Honda CBR1000RR 2004 workshop service manual, free download!
stop being a lazy arse and have a look around the forum,or do you just expect people to do everything for you?
No, i just wait people to understand what i'm asking, i want the wiring diagram of a rr6-rr7 not a rr4-rr5 one.So now, you got any of rr6-rr7 or only insults are available today?
You've already had a link posted for a suitable manual ab! If that's not clear enough for you and you need further 'hand holding' then it'll probably be beyond you anyway. Not the best idea to join a forum with only 3 posts and start getting arsey with the regulars is it?
I don't know what "arsey" means but i didn't insult anyone, neither you, i just asked if some has the wiring diagram for the bike that thread says, rr7 . and the uploaded manual is not for rr7 but for rr4 which means, obviously, that is not what i want.and then you came and stated that i'm lazy and newbie while you linked me a wrong manual so perhaps i should just took the wrong manual and say "thank you o great and old poster for the wrong manual".right?
no it isn't. as your only 3 posts are asking people to help you out, your not exactly going about it the right way are you. and yes i do have the wiring schematic for what your after, and guess what,i got it off this forum, which i had a look around, found and downloaded. i suggest you do the same. as for my previous post insulting you,i can only assume you've led a very sheltered life,as if i was to insult you it would be a tad stronger than lazy arse.
Here ya go then Andrea! 2004-2007 Honda CBR1000RR Part# 61MEL03 service shop repair manual I bought the 2012 version for mine, get ya credit card out!
