    Remember the following YT

    No helmet needed
    No handbrake turns
    No wheel spinning
    And it's not a race

    :D

I did my car test at 22 after just riding bikes from 16 up, one thing that scared my instructor was aparently the small gaps I went through without hesitation, I think I thought I was on the bike and forgot how wide the car was lol

Oh and remember when judging gaps your mot sat in centre like a bike.

Also you can't make a third lane on the centre white line! Apparently this is frowned apon!

Driving instructors are graded by the DSA grade six is the best. Make sure you see proof of the grade.

Who says you don't need a lid on when driving!?

A good time to learn to left foot brake is as a driving virgin mate. It teaches your left foot the proper 'discretion'. Don't though, your instructor will shit himself.

When I first started to drive I made the mistake of trying to use similar steering input to when I was riding the bike, i.e. Hardly any. Twitching the wheel the way you want to go and leaning won't be enough.

Just a word to the wise.

Oh, and I passed my driving test wearing my scrambling boots and leathers, but that was pre conformal armour so it was just a heavy coat really...

I'm better in a Car than a Bike TBH!

Passed my Advanced Driving test at 18 with a Grade 3 and got a Grade 1 next time round!

Done a few rally Schools and Skid Pan days also.

Have no probs 4 wheel drifting a Car round a Track and absolutely love the rain in a Car, just wish I was as good on a Bike! :(

Tip #27: A car is a lot harder to wheelie....

I think you'll be fine. Since passing my bike test about 15 years ago, I'm a lot better car driver. I use my mirrors a lot more than I did previously and it gives you great road awareness and positioning skills. Good luck!

Knee down is harder too. In fact if you do get your knee down, you have probably tried to get out without taking your seat belt off. Good luck with it, you'll be fine.

I find trying to paddle backwards in a car hard using just the leg out the door to reverse.

Best just to get out and push mate ;)

First enjoy and take your time.
Make sure you have a good instructor.
Listen to when the instructor says.

    Most of all enjoy
Was 19 years since I passed at 17.
