    Hi,

What chain lube can i use, that does not go everywhere when riding the bike..?

also can i pick it up from a shop?

Cleaning my chain tonight...if i cant grease it, can i ride to work tomorrow? 20 miles round trip? or is it better left standing till greased?

I bought some chain lube after using wurth dry lube for years, i've been out today for 80 miles and when i got back my rear wheel was virtually black instead of gold. Will be going back to the wurth with no hesitation.

Use plutoline chain wax on mine, have done past few yrs, after spraying it on i lways leave bike for at least 24 hrs before riding anywhere, so normally gets done after a weekend riding, n allow her to rest for the week before nxt ride, hardly anything flings off, prob enuf to cover a 10p piece which aint much n u can ger it online :) so always buy couple tins :)

Have used the wurth lube and agree it's excellent stuff, but have been using the muc-off chain cleaner and lube for several years now and have had no problems.

Use the castrol racing chain lube, there is some fling but gives the chain total protection in all weathers particularly winter riding

Used to use the Würth, found it good for low fling and summer use, but pants if you ride in sustained bad weather, so if you are a low or dry weather rider the Würth is fine IMO

Used a Scott Oiler on prevous bikes but use Wurth on the blade. Just put the rear wheel on a spinner after a ride when the chain still has heat in it. Usually do mine every other ride.

i used the castrol lube and the chain went rusty which also happened with the wurth even though it didnt fling at all but been using the muc off for a couple of years noe and it doesnt fling off and my chain hasnt rusted in two winters now either.
i used some silkolene a few weeks ago from a mate as it was all he had and the bike felt nicer after using that for some reason and it looked like when you take the chain out of the packet, you can see the coating on it,seemed thicker so might give that a go next

Think you will regret using Silkolene unless you use it very sparingly as it will run and fling. Used it once and never again and I sell it.
