Done 43k, had a hard 2nd half of her life, showing a few bits old wear and tear, needs some tlc, but I still like her! Up the in laws, getting ready for the off tomorrow! Poor old Yama.
very nice! looks much better then the new r1, seems yamaha stying department is running in reverse as the best looking r1 for me was the first incarnation!
Cheers mate. Personally think the 04-08 were the best looking. She's rough round the edges, but just when I think I'll get rid.... I fall in love again lol Might get some tlc in the winter. That said, next week ill change mind again ha ha
Yamaha's look sooo lovely in red n white!! Shame they have chosen that horrible blue as their corporate colours this yr, looks horrible!!
That bike still looks bang tidy as they say in Wales I know its got a few battle scars but each one tells a story - could you look for a tiny mile identical age bike if you love it so much?
No mate, if I upgrade ill do it properly!! another identical bike won't be my bike.... Bit like the old blade al, it's the adventures that make the bond. That said, 9 years old, and she's still a weapon... Handles lovely IMO.
That James, has been a proper soldier. Loads of serious 'Jimbo' miles on it and still cracking looking, in the best Yamaha scheme too. Don't sell it, put it on a longship and float it down the Medway, then fire a burning arrow into the sail with Dave playing the theme from 'The Vikings' on a goats horn.
80,000 miles on my last blade when i part exchanged her...so by that reckoning yours is just about run in! Keep her youll regret it...I do!
Yeah man, got more money than he paid for it (I done the deal obviously ha ha) then got wiped out and he got a whooping compo for a bruises ball bag (yup, wrote that letter) and his insurance still went down!
Going by that logic Jimbo I should be on one of these! Or just to keep up my street cred the HRC version! (I fear it's still a better fiddle than I can handle tho!)
