Guys ive been looking at the prices people are asking for their blades with shock and worry...

I just bought my 04 in absolute pristine condition for £3300..was that too cheap and should I be worried about why??

Had it checked for insurance claims etc but none showed up...

I have not scrutinised pricing since I bought mine in July, but sounds about right to me.
Some people ask for a lot but either can't sell them or it takes a long time to get near the price. For a quick sale you need to bring the price down.
I had an old 60's Triumph that I sold to help pay for my blade. Whilst some people where asking £4-6K for them, they weren't selling and I ended up gettin £3.5k for it.
A bike is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and an 04 is a 9 year old bike when all said and done.
    I wouldn't worry

I just had a look and one went recently for as low as £2.015, but it had quite a fvew marks and had done 37,000 miles. £3,300 seems to be about the sweetspot.
Sounds like Chrissy got a nice one at that though :)

I noticed that people are mostly asking far too much and then their bikes don't actually sell.
I just sold my 08 (15k miles, not cosmetically perfect, but solid reliable bike) for £4350! (I was in a bit of a hurry though)

Cheers for putting my mind to rest....always been a bit cautious after nearly being killed on a daytona 650 that died on the motorway.....thankfully was only on a test ride and hadnt bought it....

Seems to me that people are asking a lot more although I will prob spend 4 - 500 on my bike over winter getting paint etc done lol

Just because they ask that on eBay doesn't mean they sell for that, look at the auction sell prices to see what peeps actually pay. Sold my 05 for £4k but paid only £3.8k for it 20 months ago. Buy in January and sell in the summer, u will need 2 bikes to be able to keep riding but it makes a profit. In theory my 11 plate Repsol has cost me £5k to buy if I count backwards.

my rr7 HRC cost me £4K, whilst on the net every other one was priced at £5-6.5K! That was in standard form and in most cases with higher miles.

As Jonnymac said, A bike is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.....im finding it hard to shift my learner bike :(
