Putting up their leccy n gas prices by 10% ( or thereabouts )

They sure know how to squeeze the last penny out of the pir customers, esp with xmas coming up and winter coing up where most people tend to stay at home more so more useage of gass n leccy!!

Think me n the Mrs are ginna start looking at altenative energy resources, already have water butts that can be used to collect rain water that can in turn water the garden and wash the car n bike.

Wonder if the neighbours wud mind a small windmill in the garden??

Energy companies are just taking the piss. And the government are too spineless to tackle them over it because they are scared they'll just turn around and blame it on the increased levies that the government are charging the energy companies. So we are left with a cartel of energy firms who pretty much fix prices and follow each other whenever prices go up. Meanwhile the geniuses at the government just suggest that unhappy customers shop around for a better deal. How are we going to get a better deal if they all put their prices up!? Remtards....:confused:

I saw an interesting fact on energy prices the other day. Since August 2009 the cost of wholesale energy (the price energy firms pay for the gas/electric) has risen 3.2%. In the same period the cost of the average dual fuel energy bill has risen over 24%!! And the government and energy watchdogs just sit around and let it happen....

My company supplies and fits Air Source Heatpumps, the government pays you to run one. So much for every Kw you use with it, so switch it on and open the windows. No wonder I'm a poof and need heated clothing on the bike.

I wudnt be surprised if sum of the ministers were in the pockets if the energy companies, who take em out for slap up lunches and give em tickets for corporate affairs or shares or such like. And this is why energy firms can keep on screwing us.

Renewable energy isnt expensive but the energy companies will have u believ it is and will do their best to avoid foing down that road for as long as possible, same with petro chemical firms dont want to see rechargeable vehicles, as it hits them where it hurts in the pockets!!

Best thing to do is shop around for sure but try to create energy in other ways, sun, wind power, collect water in butts in the garden, or link ur guttering to the butts and save all that rain water to wash ur bikes / cars n water the garden, we need to help ourselves as this shitty govt and all thr other ones that will come into power next few yrs dont give a shit abiut the common man!!

I had my British Gas rant a couple of weeks ago on their FaceBook page and polled everyone on my friends list to join in to see how long it took for them to block me, after they cancelled a servicing appointment, again, after we'd booked time off specifically to be there.

As I pay regularly, each year, by direct debit for a service contract, and they serially, delay, postpone or ignore agreed dates, I reckon that for every three years payment, I get about two years actual service. I was making this point quite eloquently, I thought, until Blaggers joined in and claimed that British Gas were..."a bunch of f*****g thieving c**ts"...

    I couldn't top that, really...
