Just a quick question as I've not been to the bike show in 10+ years. Is it best to pre-order tickets or is not a big deal to get tickets on the day?

    Cheers all

I've always pre ordered then printed off my tickers. a few quid saved etc....and saves you queuing to get tickets on the day

That's what I wanted to avoid really, the myther of queing up on the day to get tickets. Can it be a pain in the arse getting them on the day?

Oh forgot to say, they alos charge ya £1.50 ( i fink ) to have hard copies sent to ya of the ticket, its free if u print off ur own, so its £18.50 so not far off queing for the tickets in first place?! Ive not been for 6 yrs, but dont recal the queues ever being horrendous tbh.

Think last time we went, the queues looked big as there r other events on at same time as bike show, but gerring in didnt take long, or u cud ger it right snd turn up about an hr after the doors open so any queues go down??

Is it me of have ticket prices gone up again this year? The costs for going to the show are slowly rising if you include the ripoff £8 for parking. It was better when it was cheaper and all that motoX arena bollox was an optional extra...

Speaking of parking, I remember going there last year with a couple of mates in the car and the parking hitlers tried to direct us to park on one of the access roads to the car park, where the car would have been vulnerable to scrapes and knocks. My mate wound his window down and said "I ain't parking there! If I'm paying £8 for a space, I want a f*ckin' proper parking space!" :D We were quickly directed to another car park....

If you're going on Saturday or Sunday, use the railway station car park, it's £5 all day & just walk over the bridge into the NEC. If you're planning on leaving late i.e. after the show's closed you might try the West car park where the exhibitors park, tickets are supposed to be checked on exit but there are rarely any staff there when we leave ;-)

This is my problem with the show, yes it's nice to go and look at new shiny bikes etc but many people go for a bargain on kit etc,, time you've got there, parked your car got your ticket and some food that's the best part of £50 quid gone, That £50 could of gone towards your new lid etc..

I agree, esp if theres 2 of ya going, u gorra factor in ticket price, car park n fuel / train tickets, food n drini whilst ur there, ur looking around £75 for 2 people, i rather stick £20 in the car or bike andpick 5- 10 dealers around me and have a day out visiting them all n still have plenty money keft for taking the Mrs out for a meal or gerring a take away in

Yeah yeah i know im sounding like a tight kit but its always been an expensive day out imo esp if u dont buy owt :(

On the 30th you're paying 75 quid to meet loads of people off the forum! That's a bargain IMO

Yeah I'm up for it I'm fully mobile and ready to get on bike I just have the blood stuck between muscle and skin 2 weeks of ultrasound then I'm gonna have it cut out . I did say I just wanted it done straight away but the risk of infection is what they are worried about I don't mind my physio is tidy !

First time I've had a battered bum ! feel like I have had implants in it loads of lumps and bumps everywhere.

If anyone doesn't wear a back protector please invest this snapped my alpinestars bionic one but it done it's job !

I took quite a hit in the barrier when my throttle stuck at cadwell. No doubt I would have had some back damage without the dainese protector. Really good kit.
