Liking the idea of this as think will fit more snugly under my leathers as my current back protector gives me a bit if gip after an hour or so, anybody got one and is the back protector of a good standard?
In a word YES. I have had 2 offs this year, one at Oulton where I hit the deck at about 90 and the other at Anglesey at about 70 and on both occasions ended up on my back with a bang, but came away with no bruising or the like. It is also a very comfortable bit of kit, almost to the point of not knowing you have got it on.
Ah I asked exactly the same on TDR should of asked on here I broke my back protector well pulled plates apart on my recent crash so im in the hunt for one and saw the knox track vest and also the dainese air throax aswell. I didn't know which one to go for good info I might wait till the bike show to try it on so I know its the right size KNOX TRACK-VEST MOTORCYCLE BACK SPINE PROTECTOR CE LEVEL 2 APPROVED GILET JACKET | eBay Dainese Thorax WAVE PRO Chest/Back Protector/Armour Motorbike/Motorcycle/Level 2 | eBay
A mate has a Dainese back protector and although it is a nice bit of kit, it doesn't seem to be quite as comfy as the Knox. I like the adjustability of the Knox and the fact that you can unzip it all and wash it. I bought my Track Vest at the NEC show last year and got a good deal from Knox directly and got a free base layer thrown in too.
Knox Track Vest all day long! I've been using one most of the summer for Track Days and rides out, ACE bit of gear IMHO and only today I've bought their Handriod gloves to go with it!
I use Dainses and after trying forcefield and knox etc... found the Dainese one to fit the best. really just go and try them out. what will fit me welll may not with you
