Fooking gutted R I P side show bob!! Was so looking forward to his races next year now he was getting consistant!
A tragic loss for his family, friends, and Moto GP, R.I.P side show Bob, your antics both on and off the track shall sorely be missed.
What a horrid day. I'm away with the Family and difficult to get the net but wanted to say. Marco You will be missed I'm a huge Rossi fan but Marco was really the only other rider I really loved to watch. He had so much to give. Lots of great riders out there but only them 2 who I really loved to watch due to their talent and personality. Rip No 58
R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli....You were a breath of fresh air to what has become a stale championship. You will be sorely missed. Thoughts go out to his family & loved ones. p.s. Didn't agree with them broadcasting his girlfriend's reaction to the crash when you could see how serious it was.
Rip Marco 58............the world will be a loss without your genius..........our prays and thoughts are with you family
Only just got round to watching it and managed to avoid Twitter and the news so as not to spoil the result so didn't know what was to come. Absolutely gutted about Marco - really liked him as a rider and as he came across as a person. He was arguably the only bright thing to light up a rather dull MotoGP season and was such a promising star for the future but alas we won't be able to see him fulfil his promise. I'm privileged to have see him compete in a couple of GPs. Rest easy, SuperSic.
Daily Mail online is showing terrible images of the accident, many people on Twitter already up in arms. I have sent a complaint in my comment as have many others. Hope they do the right thing.
Just finished reading all the posts about this tragic accident ... I too loved his riding style and was looking forward to next season as I expected him to shake up the top guys on a regular basis . Deffo a champion in the making . He will be sorely missed by all . RIP to a top guy and top rider .
It's strange, but seeing it happen during the live broadcast, my immediate thought was 'he's dead'. Perhaps it was the almost subliminal view of the helmet flying across the track that did it but there was something devastatingly final to the sequence of events from it's near balletic gentle beginning to the camera following the Ducati across the run off area. It left me completely stunned and shocked. Have we become so used to our heroes picking themselves up and being screwed back together sufficiently to compete again with barely a pause. I'm aware that things as bad, and worse, happen all over the world on a daily basis, but this was a man that we have been living our own lives vicariously through over the last few years and now he's gone, in a freak accident that at any other time would have seen him get back on and possibly finish the race. Words fail me.
This is devastating. I only found out last nite. I had avoided all media so that I could catch the rerun in the evening without any spoilers. I had spotted a mates Blackberry update of "RIP Marco" but it didnt hit me until I saw Simo sliding face down without a helmet. I was gutted as I watched the replay, everything around me was in slow motion. I felt sick and thought, "ha, what a silly dream". He was an inspiration and a much needed character in MotoGP. Both my mom and myself sat stunned with tears in our eyes. I still cant believe it. On Friday I was still discussing what colours for my racekit. not a fan of the dark colours, I like mostly white and decided the Gresini colours would look good and I would have my #13 in the same font as Sics. A Cruel reality of the sport we choose. RIP Marco. You crazy bugger.
Just thought I would post up this pic of my screen. Thought it would be a nice touch and I think it looks great. [/IMG] Ciao Marco RIP
