I ride an 04 blade and a 09 street triple r. I used to have a 01 blade and from filling it to the brim and reasonably spirited riding I was getting 120 miles before the fuel light came on. Now when I fill my 04 blade and go for a thrash, im getting 90/93 miles before the fuel light comes on. Ive checked the idle speed, tire pressures, brakes for binding. Is this milage about rite for my model or am I missing somethimg? Any help would be great.

Seems low to me, II used to get between 130-140 before the light came on, and then put in 13-14l - it used to average 10 miles to the litre. But it all depends on what you are doing with it, mine tended to be fairly long trips.

120 is doable on mine if brimmed, but the light will have been on after around 100miles, then it's time to start panicking.

Used to get about 125 before the light came on, on my RR5. Didn't hang around on it, wheelies n stuff.

That's pretty good Mo, most people seem too get 90-110 too the light according too other threads.
Rr6/7 had quite a few engine changes so that could be one of the benefits maybe

Not sure Martin, i certainly dont go easy on her...loads of twisty and long stretch of road in the one ride so constantly braking or accelerating, my bike has been on a dyno...so maybe that helped?

That was on my RR4, my 12 gets an extra 20/30 miles before the light comes on.

I get about 130 on my RR5 before the light comes on. Judging by this thread I'm quite pleased with that.

2 of us out a couple of months ago, me lead rider, we go at about 75 mph with burst to three figures, my 04 Blade was showing 132 miles and still no light showing, i thought shit its packed up, so as to not run out of fuel in the middle of Salisbury plain i topped up, but 3 days ago the low light came on, just to prove all ok, so was well pleased. (reason we keep this speed is that when 3 plus bikes are out the last bike(yes me) has to see 3 figures on the speedo to play catch-up) i dont know how you guys feel but 3 bikes ok, with 4 + then it can become "dodgy".to ride safely.on the last ride to Poole (6) bikes it became 3 and 3, me back bike being held up by an XJR, still no probs with that. other bike my mate on 1000 Fazer with his Mrs on the back (always 2 up) he is bloody mental and she loves it, it nice to watch from the rear. (no pun intended)
