Was a bloody interesting race. Does seem the organizers and tire manufacturers got it rather wrong with tire life and going to be a very interesting last 2 races and MM is getting my vote
So did they find out if Marquez just made a mistake or if that was an actual attempt to be clever with his pit stop? Looked to me that he had a wobble just before and was zoned out on making up time and just missed his slot. Loved seeing Jorge give him a bash mid corner
I think, next, they should have to do an egg and spoon race, the length of the pit lane. If that's where championships are going to be decided, let's at least have an 'It's a Knockout' laugh over it.
from what I read it was HRC trying to push the rules and pit just before the 11 lap. MM pits are just before the start finish straight. Big oops there then
Yup - confirmed by MM this morning. Honda had "misinterpreted" the ruling and thought that "no more than 10 laps" meant "less than 11 laps". I really hope that doesn't cost him the championship as he was looking good for at least 2nd place at that point....
And to think they first said Bridgestone couldn't guarantee the safety of the rider after 14 laps, how wrong they were !!!!
What a last race. and deserved champ of 2013. One this that got me in the last race. Jorge's riding. yes amazing and talented but a bloody hard with Dani on some of the overtakes. And he's the one that bitches about Marc overtakes then he does worse. Why does he just not shut up when he does the same to others But in the end a great end to the year
It certainly was a excellent end to the season, I found Lorenzo's riding highly exciting, I thought he was trying exceptionally hard to maximise his chances of winning the title. But I do agree he would certainly be the first to complain if the roles were reversed and somebody was slowing the race down to allow a train of bikes. Mark, I thought raced a very mature race, you could see he didn't really want to get involved in any engagements, and imo thoroughly deserved the championship. If only stoner would return just to make next year even more interesting
Stoner who's that i did think I would miss his happy face bt after enjoying marc's right I never missed hime once. If you had more prototype Honda's and yams with good riders I would feel it would be a closer match . I know Honda will be leasing better bikes to more teams which should be interesting and also push Ducati further back unless they make big improvements over the winter. I can't see Ducati doing much in the way of improvements when you think Hayden was on a bike Rossi and him rode in 2012-13 and still beat Dobi
