Oh that's good then as if you dropped ya Mic as much as ya Track Bike then the Band wouldn't get many songs out! Good choice with the Geeeeeetarr as this has a strap to keep it off the deck! lol
Don't get feeling sorry for him Robin, it's Character building for the young lad! I'm actually doing him a favour by 'hardening' him up for the mental and physical knocks of racing by this gentle 'barrage' he's getting! I should be charging by rights!
Alex Lowes couldn't stay on his bike for quite some time.........Look where he is now! I've said it before when I went down........If you don't fall off once in a while, you're not trying hard enough!!
I think I have made my mind up, once I'm sorted with a bike and van and have done my ACU. Possibly a TD at donnington and anglesey I think I'm gonna join Derby Phoenix. They seem to do all the tracks that best suit me, barring anglesey (but I'm sure I can nip in for a coffee with rob there!) Although bullet has now told me they are having financial difficulties?
Those words have been haunting me the last few trackdays as I have done a lot this year and everyone around me has been coming off . If its a case of me not trying hard enough then so be it. as I like staying shiny side up.
I just think that to progress you need to push it, people are comfortable pushing it to different levels. Most of the mistakes I have made have been rookie mistakes, but hey have taught me a lot more than I'd of learnt if I'd been tootling around giving it 80%. That's just me not trying to offend anyone. I'd just rather progress quickly than take years and years to get quick. I'd rather look back and say I've had a few off's but given it my best shot everytime than be slower and say I've always nursed it around.
I think the older you get the more things you tend to worry about Kids ,business ,morgage bills, hurting yourself etc etc I wouldn't say I give it any thought about coming off on track and do feel like I push it , i had another fast rider in my garage ask if I raced yesterday which was good as I have only been riding super bikes for 18months (moto x and enduro before that) I had done a nice overtake on him going in to the first double chicane before hill top so feel as though I am pushing it a lot , its the likes of Firebloke saying "if you don't come of every now and then your not trying hard enough " as he is a wise old fox .
Nothing wrong with the odd fall off mate.Anything can contribute to an off suspension, brakes tyres.Even other riders can throw you off line too.Just push the bike away roll into a ball if you can.Get up and try again.Just don't break yourself.
and I'm sure you would be at the front too if I fell off. I did at Brands in September.Just kept it quiet Shhhhhh!!! Makes our days better mate
lets just see if you still think that when your banged up in hospital for 3 weeks,or off work for 3 months due to "pushing" it .... theres a difference between pushing it to your limit or out of your comfort zone,to pushihng it way beyond your ability with the inevitability of crashing. this is the happy medium you need to find as all it will do if you kjeep going beyond this is ruin your body, bank account and more importantly other peoples track time . this is where some tuition comes in handy,it will help you get quicker, but more importantly safer.
