It's odd here. Dead still one second, Keith Moon solo the next.
Been out all morning strapping down anything remotely aerodynamic in the garden. One question mark over the willow in the front lawn, but can't help but feel T could have a point and there been a lot of scare mongering going around.

Ever thought about parking a white van on the garden to protect the Willow Ken?;)

There's a trick I missed, Mike. At the minute though, it might even blow the van over.

Funny you say that mate. It's already top heavy and leaning over. We just decided I'll copse it and see if it survives that, so it's got two chances over the next few weeks.

Dont they say that in the event of a nuclear war, 2 things will survive, cockroachs & willow tree`s.

Yeah, but you live on the Somerset levels. The ability of willow trees to pump the ground dry is the only thing stopping you from developing webbed feet.

Well, the wind is howling here in the Fens and gaining speed hour by hour, no rain yet though.

I have spent all day boarding up the windows, getting the sandbags in place. I have placed an old door at 45 dgrees to the wall to form a shelter, & the only problem i have is i have put too many cans of beans in there that i cant get under it. Looks like i shall have to tear the shithouse door off to make a new shelter. No , i`m not drunk, i have only had a small ale.

I have just been out to put some rubbish in the bins and guess what, we no longer have any bins ! The wind is so strong it was hard to stand up. L just told me First Crapital Connect have sent a text saying they are cancelling east coast trains into London. So that's that, with a bit of luck the phone lines will also come down so I don't have any broad band and can also have an extra day off.
