    So......

6 months down the line, no pillions and now have a single seat cowl, figured its time to drop the rear pegs.

Had a look and a couple things I wanted to ask about if anyone else has done it

The right peg secures part of the exhaust guard and offers some protection for the rear brake reservoir and maybe more I've not noticed. Anyone found something to replace the peg with to help or a way round the 2 things?

Did try to find another post on this but it's all about 08 removals.....

    Cheers all

Nice, thanks for that. So easy when you know what to look for huh :)

Is there anyway to give the brake reservoir some protection or am I over thinking things?

Over thinking I reckon mate ;) aside from knocking it with your boot when getting on or off (pretty hard to do!) I can't see how else it'd get damaged? I'm guessing the tiny bit of metal that's there to protect it is actually from pillion boots/shins?

Mines been off for 2k miles and no probs at all.

Happy days, just gotta wait for that to arrive now

A cable tie doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, may have to check that out

Thank you both for the help :)

Where did you get the single seat cowl mate? Just got the standard cowl on mine but the entire rear section looks really nice. Looked at them before but only ever found race fairings which had no space for a brake light.

Argh!! Already ordered one, teach me to be so impatient.....thanks for the offer :)

Get one of the HRC rear race reservoir you won't have to worry about a bracket for the plastic one then

    That does look pretty slick.

Do you know if there are any drawbacks to them? Sometimes find race spec things are great for track but give grief with general road riding....

It's a set of Chinese fairings (MotoCC I think). Single piece, no pillion seat etc

    You rang!

Steve I have a stock res on mine mate.

Phil I was going to get one but I heard they can sweat a little which is not a problem but they go cloudy over time which is what put me off, but they are cheap so could just replace if it bothers you.
Arthur suggested a smaller round res pot and cut the tube down to sit it by the rear set which looks neat and I will get round to doing eventually

    Took your time :p

That sounds pretty cool, is there a mounting point in place or do you have to make one?
