As the title says who is your rider of the season in motogp?

I'm a big Rossi fan but got to admit Marquez has been amazing this year, but will also say Aleix Espargaro has rode his socks off on a CRT bike and taken a few factory scalps

Can I tell you in 2 weeks time, Marquez probably gets it for me and I hope he beats George and wins the title, first year in moto gp only 20 and rides that honda like its a toy! That kid has serious talent!

think lorenzo has been a tough contender again and never gives up. also impressed with the way bradleys just got on with it with improvements every week and not to many mishaps. marquez is pretty damn special honda must of been concerned when stoner announced retirement but they not need worry with marc on board.

Espargaro, has dominated his class, and even occasionally embarrassed the big teams.

    Marquez and Lorenzo.

The other riders are only sometimes very good and not all the time.

Alex lowes has got to get a mention, done the business at the end of the season against a very strong Byrne on a very good Kawasaki. Think against his peers he done brilliant.

But Marquez has been a phenomenon! Think we have seen the real deal emerge, much like Rossi when he came on the scene.

I hate to say it but Marquez has done the business. I really didn't want to see the Freddie Spencer record broken as I was a big Freddie fan, but it was bound to happen someday and Marquez is definitely a worthy title holder, despite a couple of black marks against his name. But racing is racing.
A worthy mention to Jorge, he may just do it yet though and if he does I may have to change my mind.

Gotta be Marquez this year, Lorenzo has done well and without the broken collar bone things might have been different... Cal has done an amazing job aswell.... Smith hasn't done anything special, always behind the factory and then the private teams(except ducati of coarse ), Espargaro has alsodone a great job, pity to see his brother move up to a gp bike and him not.. I reckon Aleix espargaro will be filling in Rossi's place when he stops at the end of the 2014 season ;)

I used to dislike lorenzo but since marquez has come along with a better bike and arguably more skill he has really impressed me to dig so deep and pull out some wins. Deffo won my respect this year and i think marquez and lorenzos riding are so different it makes for interesting racing. Although I am probably routing marquez just cos its his rookie season if lorenzo won I would still feel it was very deserved

There's something that doesn't sit right about Lorenzo. He's either won the race and smiling or in a sulk over something someone else has done. Always moaning about Marquez (as he used to about Simonchelli and Rossi in his bad boy days). He's also vindictive in purposely going body to body against Marquez when he's got the edge, like when he hurt the kid's elbow, and crying foul. When he was up against Rossi he tried to take away from Rossi's originality in celebrating his victories with stunts by trying to think up his own stunts which were always laboured and silly. OK, so he's got an immaculate riding style, steady as a metronome, but we want the excitement of acrobats, the risk takers, the guys with balls, Marco, Vale, Marquez. Listen to Crutchlow on Lorenzo, he clearly doesn't like him 'cos he's always moaning about something. They can't all be as honest, direct and amusing as Crutchlow, but Lorenzo - a multi millionaire - has nothing to complain about and is a royal pain in the butt and a feckin' dull, safe pair of hands IMO.
