What road is it exactly Steve!? Wouldn't mind picking your brains sometime for some northern Spain highlights!!
It's the N621 from Riano to Potes in the Picos de Europa, not a major road. Tight and twisty and has the most exquisite road surface, it's where Gary cut his teeth until we hit low cloud and the road turned wet! Couple that with the odd cow or three, demon switchbacks and the occasional dollop of cow shit and it was more than enough to slow us right down. We revisited it at the end of the holiday by which time Gary had got right up to speed and I really had to push on to pull away from him! Even then he always had me in his sights!
Yeah- the fox wasnt really squealing like a girl, it was the alpine nessy licking his toes under the water!!
Like Al says that water felt like snowmelt in Winter! I'll see if I can find a couple more good pics just to make us feel even more like we were back there.
Few more pics from Spain Gary taking a fag break (electronic of course) from a mentally draining road, in that the drop-offs didn't bear thinking about!! A timed shot taken at Fuente De, an amazing road that came to a dead end, great fun turning back and doing it all again! Great view from the ski-runs of Andorra, fantastic weather once you got above the clouds. Famous viewpoint on the n621, Picos de Europa
