Thought I'd draft the hair dryer out and have a pick at the decals on my fairings . I still have all my originals bubble wrapped these are my spare road set and I was bored ha ha these will just be put on bike to go around Europe touring and they all cosy less than venture shield and I don't care scuffing cracking them etc Not my blade at end but will look summat like
Oooo ooo! Get a pic up when they're on later wedge? I'd be interested to see that shape of blade in plain white. Atleast your power ranger suit will match perfectly now!
They won't be on till august 2014 mate ha ha I'll still take the blade track daying next year until I Go Europe playing . Ha ha the leathers are getting muddier and muddier like your ha ha
Bit plain but I can determine my fairing stash now . I might do what the old campers do stick I was here stickers all over it and beer bottle labels ha ha
What's with the American reflector Wedgie on the forks? I'd av 2 av that right off reet rapid! (Txt speak from now on for U lot!)
That's not wedgies bike in the last picture, so it'll be a us bike, hence the reflector. I've seen this done on us sites too and not sure I prefer it over the hrc colour. It does as you say give a base to play with and experiment with other schemes. How did you get on with the tank, isn't that the only area where clear coat is over the stickers?
I really like that Wedgie - if it was mine I'd get onto a decal cutter and try and do the fairings like the 2008 white and black paint scheme which my bike started life as - I assume they are original panels with the deep pearl white finish? If you had carbon mudguard and hugger you could also do the wheels in white - adding some black / HRC stripes like Fez has would set if off no end. Will post up a pic of my 2008 to give you an idea.
Yeah they are the pearl panels I'll probs just leave um as is I want them just as bash panels for Europe and keep originals if I ever sell it . But knowing me I'll probs jazz um up id love to do a old race rep but the chinky fairings have them all covered now ha ha
I have a nice set of 2012 wheels set aside ready to paint white.... Can't decide if I should or if I should spend my money on a second bike (see my gsxr600 thread) If I end up buying this other bike I'll have my set if 2012 rims for sale.
