Defo worth it Dave. Even if only to scratch that so called itch. Thing is once you have 1, nothing quite has the same feel. Trust me I know, I've been through 20 cars in the last 6 years and end up back where I began since the first.
Yes my run around is a 152k miles Focus TDCI (had it from new!) - don't think many run them as a main car.
The second 1 I had, I ran it as an all year car as I only did say 12k a year, due to where my old job was. After buying a new house at the time I had to sell up and said then that if I could afford to run it I would get another.
Lol- I'll edit my post mate, teach me to wake up properly from a sofa snooze! I do love the sound of the things, there's a couple of nice STi's in village where I live but yours is something special.
lol - can just see Dave now doing burnouts and donuts down Broadstreet with Jimbo hanging out the window!
That looks an awesome motor - very tasty in all black imo. You must need a second mortgage to keep that thing on the road tho - not cheap cars to keep from what a mate (previous Scooby owner) told me
Lovely looking motor, cudnt afford to run 1 meself, and plus we r more of an estate car people, esp with the dog n the Mrs being into kayaking ( has her own kayak that goes on the roof ) n sking. Next car is an Insignia estate i know not as plush as a Merc or Bee em or Scooby
Just drove to pick up the wee man from his dads, and back again, and managed 28mpg which is pretty damn good consider I wasn't really trying to be economical. Granted its mostly motorway and dual carriageway, but still good considering the performance.
Scoobys are loud and fast...but i hated mine, the cost of maintenance and fuel had me nearly crying at the pumps when ever i filled up, which seemed every other day....would have one as a toy if i could afford it but much prefer my bike!
£70.50 on a scooby, £98.70 on my bmw but at least i get 300+ miles in town on that and 500 on motorways...with the scooby who knows...but its fun i guess, but rather spend £18 on a tank for my bike and get 100miles of pure adrenaline pumping thrills.....
