you wouldnt want that lovely shock getting plastered in crap either would you!! Come on Honda how hard is it to redesign the hugger.. thats just lazyness
Problem with this bike is where do you stop, I mean no hydraulic preload that I can see, rubber brake lines, Nissin front master and rear brake, OEM wheels, etc etc.. IF you spec it how we'd all like it, it would be 30 grand.
Doesnt look any bigger than the 2012 shock. (I would post a pic but photobucket is down for maintenance just now)
If it doesnt have rear pegs why isnt this a single seat unit? Dont like the colour being diffrent to the rest of the cowl either looks even more like its not part of it.. Like the shape though very nice!
Makes sense to me Colin, but then I am biased. I know you don't get your money back from modding but I love having a bike which is pretty much just how I want it. Mine now feels so good, yep I would like a bit more acceleration but for handling and braking I could not ask for more from a bike. A guy looked at mine a few weeks back and was pretty astonished when he looked closely at it. It was nice because being the boring black colour it looks pretty standard. Then he noticed the exhaust, then the rear shock, wheels, brakes etc etc and then said " that looks awesome, how does it handle ? " and I could honestly say it is the best bike I have ever had and handles superbly. My bike is not unique but it has it's individuality and it is interesting to see the new Blade has gone similar routes to my own mods, a few more nice bits on the new model and it would be more tempting
Use the fairing parts off the normal production fireblade to keep costs down of building the " limited edition " one but charge sky high prices to be exclusive, sounds like errr a rip off to me
I'm looking at a pic from my bike when I fitted the 2012 shock and it looks much the same to me. I may be wrong but I'll post a pic when I can.
Hhhmmmm u may have a point there Colin, still looks bit bigger to me, maybe just the way pics are blown up dunno, but least a powerbronze hugger will fit the sp
Trust me, you really DO want a decent size hugger on your bike - this was my 4 week old 2012 shock... I think the beefed up engine, new suspension and other tweaks may well push the blade up a good few notches - it was never far off by all accounts in current form really - rider tallent having a far greater input than outright bike ability. Shame its being launched as we head into winter - no doubt the journo's will be flown somewhere hot in Spain to try it out and report back.
