    Spent most of the day fitting the GB racing engine covers (10 mins my arse), HM Plus quickshifter, Akrapovic carbon slip-on and Leo Vince exhaust cover.
    Very happy with the results but the 2012 fairings are even more of a ball ache than the 2010 HRC was and took a while to get to the coils for shifter.
    Anyway done now so a couple of pics :)

    Looking mighty fine there. I have the same engine covers but luckily they were already fitted when I bought the bike. I want the same exhaust as you too - maybe next summer...

    Sweet but took me about 10 mins for the GB racing protectors on my 11 blade.

    bike looks lovely and fast just stood still :)

    Had to shave down the cover as it was fouling against frame so bolt wouldn't line up then the 2012 fairing needs the fairing undoing to allow enough room to fit the other cover ....
    All in all not bad and I ended up with the bike in bits to access the coils as the air tubes are fixed not attached to the fairings like the 08-11 bikes which annoyed me a bit as well....
    All done now exhaust sounds sweet :) ran it up to fan cutting in as Honda suggested to reset ECU and seems ok, just need a dry day now.

    Looks spot on, maybe some nice black ASV or equivalent levers next ?

    Levers are a good idea, might try Harris this time

    I think if I get another blade (unlikely as I want an RSV4 next, but..) it may have to be a repsol...

    I got the Dremel out on the black part of the fairing the trim and cut to shape of the arm that fouls on the cover HM was ok to fit but I know what you mean about AirTubes those bloody rubber boots arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    Id love to be able to do me own mods, gorra admit the links on here do make it look n sound easy, think i may spend a w.end locked in the garage with a kettle n big bag if biscuits trying to put on them rexspeed rear peg hangers :)

    Ok but you can't include the Gilles shaft support I ordered yesterday ;)

    Infact no we both know it can't happen ! And I will get something else so bets off

    Good job, interested to hear in more detail the issue with the engine covers, have heard about fitting issues which as put me off them ?
