The third pic is what annoys me when people say 'ive walked the great wall of china blah blah, machu pichu trail etc.' and when I say 'Have you been up to the north west of scotland' and get the response 'No, is it any good' I think see whats local first maybe.

    thought the pic looked familiar

Agree with you on Concorde....being a sad git, I often used to ride the 75 miles from home to Heathrow, just to watch her land and take off.
She should never have been grounded. ( F****** French/Airbus for taking away COA)

Was after the isle of Skye... What a place, sat on my tod there watching the waves roll in and some dude walking his dog with the tide out with it ALL to himself...

Can honestly say one of the most stunning places I've been! And I've been lucky to see some amazing places.... Think maybe only Cape Town tops it.

Like you say, Scotland riding is as good and as scenic as anything I've done, if you catch the weather right!!

    Agree on the Concorde theme!

Mentioned it before but Concorde flew over Donnington Park taking off from East Midlands Airport 'back in the day' while me and the gang were sat Pissed up on the grass watching Black Sabbath at Monsters of Rock one year.

    Fuck me that things load!

Drowned out Ozzy big time, think it quite shocked him as nowt's drowned Sabbath out before when in full chat!

I'm sure the Concorde Pilot gave it some extra beans when passing over just to make a point!

Not a new one, no, David. I've been wearing this one so long, Captain Scott keeps mistaking me for Oates coming back.

Isle of skye circular followed by kyle of lochalsh to invergarry completed with "the loop" down the side of lochness and back on the a887 is fcuking class and some of the best riding you can do in a day or 2. Ullapool-durness-tongue-lairg and back is also awesome, although my mate came off there when we were on tour this summer and broke his arm in 3 places and his leg, wrote off his SV. Even on the way up from peebles to aberfoyle is awesome. The cairngorms are epic. its all awesome.

    I LOVE SCOTLAND

The sound of an Apache helicopter is pretty awesome imo, was sat outside RAF Cosford when the air show was on n hearing the thump thump thump of the two of these flying over just makes the hair back of your neck stand on edge.

Pretty mean looking beast aswell, think anyone wud shit themselves seeing a squadron of these come flying over the hills

Seen couple of Eurofighter typhoons, these things r bloomin loud and the afterburner just looks awesome :)

Done Scotland few times, def the best place in UK to go on a biking holiday, esp. if the weather is good, think I've been quite lucky only rained on one trip the rest have been lovely and warm :)

Anywhere above Edinburgh n Glasgow is lovely riding and the roads r virtually dead n they dont tend to have hedges so alot of the bends you can see through, so can keeo the throttle wide open :D

Few of my faves are :

    A82 Glasgow - Inverness
    A85 Green welly - Oban
    Coast road Oban - Fortwilliam
A87 spleen bridge ( commando memorial - Kyle of lochash )
The loop round isle of skye
And the kinlochleven loop, the scotsburgring :D

Cant wait to go up again next yr, first time on the blade :)

One of my faves is the camber to lydd road in kent an excellent stretch of road that one testing even for the most experienced riders.

There's also another road in kent somewhere between Canterbury and Ashford that has our version of the corkscrew on it which was cool too.
