Bikers 23% better at driving than non-biker

    Good, then I will expecting a large drop in my car insurance premium at renewal time, as we all know what fair chappies those insurance underwriters are.

    They would probably want more cash as they would see it as a modification or some other stupid crap!

    It's a running gag in my house that I never wear out brakes on the car but go through a lot of clutches. I've always driven cars like a biker, the wear and tear on them is testament. Whether it makes me a better driver, I'm not qualified to say. I'm certainly more considerate to bikers than many.

    I'm the oppo, Ken. I go through brake pads like fury but I think the last time a car of mine needed its clutch changing was probably 20 years ago.

    I taught myself to heel-and-toe downshift when I was in my late teens and I've never stopped doing it since. Even in everyday driving.
