I'd ultimately like TC on mine and have looked at Bazzaz (not for very long mind) and the Nemesis TC but a bit spendy at £1700 so the idea of a HM with the option of add on TC later is very appealing. Or do I just buy one of these standard HMs when someone upgrades?
So there is now a group buy coming and a group installation day.... bloody great!!!! All I have to do is get over the big water Whats the actual price? I've seen 650 ex vat, but what are all the add on bits? do we need them?
I'm getting closer to a ride Price is just that £650 plus a loom £50 plus VAT @ 20% so basic price is £840.00, options are mil spec connectors etc etc etc, but in short the loom and GP gets you going afaik.
Not sure of the details of TC but will find out Monday for you and all, some videos uploading so will add a link asap
Check this out dudes. Nice feature been added to the logs providing a summery of each session (sessions being the time from power up to power down) this is in addition to the overall summery on the overview photo I posted earlier. #################### LAST SESSION DATA [S82] ############################### **** LAST SESSION NUMBER: S82 **** LAST SESSION HMSS MS SAVED: 00:00:04.794 **** LAST SESSION RUN TIME: 00:17:10 **** LAST SESSION SHIFT COUNT: 92 **** LAST SESSION BLIP COUNT: 50 **** LAST SESSION RECAL COUNT: 12 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM: 13330 **** LAST SESSION MAX SPEED PULSE HZ: 350 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 1: 6841 TIME IN GEAR 1: 00:01:26 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 2: 13330 TIME IN GEAR 2: 00:01:56 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 3: 12035 TIME IN GEAR 3: 00:01:35 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 4: 11214 TIME IN GEAR 4: 00:04:07 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 5: 10372 TIME IN GEAR 5: 00:03:57 **** LAST SESSION MAX RPM IN GEAR 6: 9878 TIME IN GEAR 6: 00:02:19 **** LAST SESSION UNKNOWN GEAR SHIFTS: 0 **** LAST SESSION UNKNOWN GEAR BLIPS: 0 ############################################################################# Check out amount of time saved by the HMSS. Not bad considering a cold Novemeber evening on a new rear.
That time saved by the HMSS is saved against what? where has it saved time from? the regular HM shifter?
Not a very good video (I.e Just a static test) but gives people an idea of HM GP. I saved you all from my ugly mug by wearing a lid
Ha Ha, my bad... I mean, as in on a padock stand not going anywhere....lol Would post it on the "red" forum but they may kill me....pmsl
must be the first person I see to wear a helm on a still standing bike I hate the QS even more now , terrible video mate
It's a safety device, saves you from my face! and you never know she may cut loose...hahahaha, not that I normally wear one
HM Seamless Shift Technology (HMSS) The HM Quickshifter GP has programmable kill times for each gear going up and separately going down the gearbox. However on top of this we have the new revolutionary HMSS system. This system uses intensive and very advanced mathematics and digital signal processing (DSP) to identify when the actual dogs – the gear teeth – have fully engaged. This nullifies the requirement for kill times and not only ensures the shorted possible kill times it also ensures the smoothest and safest gear change. This is because regardless of the conditions, load, RPM, and gearbox characteristics, it detects when the next gear is actually engaged and then reapplies power. This is a massive step forwards in shifting technology and has made all other shifting products obsolete. There are also safety programmable minimum and maximum kill times which override this algorithm in the rare case that the rider/bike is doing something very unusual and for some reason the shifter does not correctly detect this gear engagement in a timely fashion. Typically a kill time is a crude parameter that must be significantly longer than the actual gear change time due to the vast range of different gear changing conditions, this directly translates to slower lap times, less smooth gear changes, more wear on the gearbox and the potential for a missed gear if the rider / bike do something unusual and end up taking longer to mechanically shift than the allowed kill time. In short – a revolution in changing gears! Not just a gimmick – this is the culmination of thousands of hours of work by contracted specialists in their field.
