Well, as many of you know YT has had a bit of stick this year whilst learning his track craft, I also got to grips with wet tyres for the 1st time with knee down success then a grass eating finale, know Robin has banged himself up a couple of times in the process of gaining clubman status, Andy has gained the guiness world record for longest ever wet slide and bashed fairings this year also whilst Wedge has sent himself to the moon and is in some much needed winter R&R after his post crash shakedown.... But just wondering, how many other have had it go a bit wong this year!? i'll start it off. for 2013 only! Wedge = 3 + 12 broken bones YT = 3 finding the limit, mechanical failure & a steep learning curve Sideways = 3 Kitty litter trip at brands, and 2 big school boys Robin = 2 due to no road bike Jimbo = 2 wets have a limit / muddy off road face plant Andy7rp2 = 2 Pesky Supermoto's and racers Skippy = 2 International crasher Arthurbikemad = 2 Vin Diesel knee down / poor old flattened dog Si = 1 1/2 it gave him a hurt body Navvy = 1 needs a gear indicator JamieREP = 1 off road car park fail Muffking = 1 cold tyres Alblade = 1 not his fault - oil spill Icarus = 1/2 on a quad?? Sinewave = -1 not really a crash / trolley rage
Road - 0 Track - 0 Shopping Trolley into the side of a BMW at Sainsbury's that couldn't be arsed to stop for me at the Pedestrian crossing outside the main entrance - 1!
Road - 1 Track - 0 Cold tyre, spun up mid bend and fish tailed until it went down with me still clinging on.
Do quads count? If so I managed to to snap the suspension mount on one doing a rather high jump, apart from that I'm all clear.
Road 0 (so far but always a chance) Track 1 Not 100% my fault but the oil slick which I failed to spot (which is still affecting my ankle a fair bit)
Road -0 Track -3 2 broken wrists broken right thumb fractured collar bone . 12 bones total Other crash bruised to shit large hematoma on lower back that's still there. Other one gentle slide in wet the one I liked the most lol
No chance the harder you try the more you will have falls it won't stop me trying even harder next year Marquez had had 15 this year so I ain't doing too bad lol . Last crash wasn't my total fault so not to concerned ha ha .
Ok: Road-0 (due to no road bike anymore) Track-2 (due to no road bike anymore) Got away lightly really, dislocated shoulder in the first one and then broken funny little bone thing in my left wrist in the second one.
Difference is you're an old cunt like me and don't bounce as well as a 20 year old! .............................oh, and he wears a £3K + inflatable leathers as well!
3 crashes on track this year... 1) oulton park first time in the wet, wanted to find the limit, found it 2) cadwell park- stuck open throttle at charlies 1, tried to get it round and saved the bike but in doing so followed it into the barrier, its like being kicked in the chest 3) oulton park (again!) Racing with jason, after he block passes me and sticks his leg out to apologise i wind on the throttle out of shell and bin it into the tyres Probably not my last one (by far!) But its been the steepest learning curve and i wouldnt change anything about my first year on track. Im faster after 10 trackdays than i ever dreamed i would be on my first attempt at cadwell on the blade in may Simply in love with it. Roll on 23rd of feb acu at cadders!!!
Don't mention that Jonny .I had a full two years recovering from Tennis elbow with fly fishing (mainly trying to hard with a heavy sinking line. Had 3 injections £600.00 worth of Chinese acupuncture and various treatments so even that's a bad idea.Ha! How about Snakes and Ladders .
Me, road in Wales. Turns out I had a fractured wrist after, never knew until I lifted a steel in the house. And again,a slight drop in Germany too. Arse. Dont want want to do it again, it gave me a hurty body.
Tyke throws himself down the track 3 times and walks away Scott free and you spend £600 on a tennis elbow from fly fishing. Classic mate!!
