So a quick summary of Jerez Wow what a track with 40 garages this place is Huge its a similar size track to Oulton park , the track itself you can soon learn and I have been getting quicker some really nice fast right handers it really does have everything . Went out first few sessions on my dunlop d212 just to get a feel for the track then I went on slicks for the first time , amazing tyres really do give you the confidence to tip in a lot quicker . Track time is 10am-6pm with no stopping for lunch so you get lots of track time . A few blades been having problems one rider his rear bearing collapsed at 100mph and locked up seizing the engine but luckily stayed upright with a huge skid . I have been having problems with my hm quickshifter its ok at low speed but starts missing at high speeds so have had to switch it off. Will get some better pics put up the wifi in hotel is very slow so we have been having problems loading pics up and video . Weather today perfect .
Weather approx 18-20c so really is perfect will defo be coming back here next year. Sorry about pics I am not the most creative when it comes to taking pics. Did 2 min today lap time which I was happy with as some of the fast group were not doing that been on my own today the last 4 sessions so no body to play with asked to move up with no joy , if you do book a European trackday make sure you pick the right group as its very hard to move group unlike at uk trackdays .No limits run 3 groups which is Inters,Fast and Fast /ACU so anyone that runs Fast group in the uk book in Fast/ ACU . I booked in fast which is like Inters in the Uk. Now will try and post some pics .
Jason that looks like pigswill! Real tapas is small sandwiches and canapes arranged on the bartop for your perusal. You never did get the hang of fine dining when we were on holiday!
Real Tapas is anything and everything, right down to minging looking pigs trotters dude. Anything and anything goes... Most of it looks basic, but tastes fantastic. Depending which region yo go to, it could be a bit of onion, one olive on a toothpick etc...as long as it's served with (traditionally) a sherry or a glass of wine. The prawns in that dish above is Gambas al Ajillo (prawns in garlic sauce). lovely, mopped up with crusty bread....nom nom. Tapas is any kind of small morsels, whether it's just a bit of vegetables down to Bravas or Calamaris Fritas.
We did exactly that Si mopped up with some crusty bread we also had a Russian Salad which was a tuna dish along with meat balls and spainish omelette all eaten while watching Spanish bull fighting on tv which I didn't like fecking hell there is about 10 of them in the ring with I bull. WSB are all set up here ready for Testing some serious money with all there wagons .
Now ya talking! Tom Sykes's old ZX10 from the 2013 season will do me just fine as my next Track Bike!
I know that Si but on holiday Jase was expecting everything to come in small brown dishes like you get in the UK. You should have seen his face when he said I'll order, and this came!!
You need big balls for this there are two very fast right handers and its fecking awesome when you nail it .
Was there no way to put the camera lens between 2 bars of the fence and get a clear shot of the track? Al waits for Jay to display 2 fingers Spain trip style at opportune moment.... Nice pics BTW - looks mega!
Stop it Al! The boys trying his best, he only figured out which way round the camera went before he flew out!!
I was there in October. Bloody marvellous, as the rumble strip is just right. Knee down round these boys feels good. Unfortunately when the confidence builds, this attachment is the result. The Italian bike lost his oil. Poor blade. It was awesome up until the last day
Really jelous Jas... Perfect way for you to prepare for racing next year mate. Looks as though the weather has turned out perfect and from the looks of the pics there's not that many people?? Must mean you can get some good 1-2-1 instruction from the NLs guys. Have fun and stay sunny side up!!
