I had a TS50 mate .. I was the nuts on mine .. every one wanted a shot but i didnt share lol.. I kitted mine , air filtr , bigger head , bigger piston etc ,, Used to do 47 MPH ha ha ... Rode it till its wheels fell of lol
I had a Honda MT50 with 65 kit k&n and dep sport exhaust did near on 50mph but what i wanted was the H100 to put in it haha!!
Your all clearly alot older than me never heard or seen half of those bikes you been discussing. Sounds like you all had good times though which is what counts. Only ever had one other bike my gsxr600 I did love it until it was written off by a third party. The car I miss the most was my 89 mercedes 190e cosworth replica. It was such a great car
I do wish i could have kept my 600rr as a track bike but it paid a healthy deposit on my blade so had no choice Sadly missed
My first moped Honda SS50 5 speed in yellow .............then a Suzuki GT185............12 months later "ok dad now can you sign th HP forms for a Kawasaki KH250" !! and i wish i still had them all in the garage !!
Gt185....I remember that was the achievable dream. Everyone wanted the Gt 250, but the 185 was the one they could afford. Then the RD250 came out and pissed on your fireworks. Then Suzuki fought back with the hideous X7. Then RD250LC and game over.
The x7, sigh, I lost my best mate on one of them ken, he was 17 ! Worked in our local bike shop and got it brand new complete with full flf fairing, microns etc, anyone remember them? Christ it was quick. And I still think of you Andrew !
Remember the X5 ? 200cc i seem to remember.......? yup the old man would nt let me have a ram air 250 GT suzuki "you ll be dead in a week he said "! so i waited and went for a 185 instead but that jump up from a moped to a 250 was too big a hurdle !!! ah the 70s.............golden era of biking for me ! lol
The LC 350 came out before the 250 and thats when Yam hit the jackpot............. ! X5s X7s KHs GTs.......goodbye to the classics........piss poor in comparison ! lol
Cheers ken, and rob, yea certainly remember the x5s I used to race them on my rd200. Ha ha them were the days eh! Fond memories.
