Am oop early, way too early, s'posed to be doing overtime today at work, money js good n work is dead easy. Dint mind doing it when weather pants but its dry out, hardly any frost or fog ( as they forecasted ) n forecast dry all day long everywhere. So finking get me girl out for a run up to Raven cafe Whitchurch around lunch ( ish ) time, anyone else going out ( bar the fairies who have packed their bikes away )
Bloody hell, have you wet the bed!! If I'd known you were up you could have come and give my twins their early morning feed and let me have a lie in!! No biking action for me today. Got a family photo shoot to go to. Altho if I hurry everyone up I suppose I could sneak out later.
Ha ha good luck with that dude, i always give a time much earlier to do summat as i know the Mrs is always late gerring ready I have done a load of washing n hung it out to, whilst Mrs is snoring in bed, even the dogs snoring in bed n refuses to ger oop!! Must be cold if he wont ger up And u shud see me in the summer, am up at 04:30 with the sunrise n out the house for 6am and will cover 300 - 400 miles in a round trip & then ger home, have me tea, wash n polish bike n sleep soundly
Forecast dry here but cloudy max temp is only gonna be 9 at most, so def digging out the long johns and thermals Just gives me a chance to give her a run rather than just starting her up, idle up to temp n then put her away after cooling down as it annoys the neighbours like fook with that racefit growler
Ha- forgot you have the black edition- I don't even run my bike at home anymore unless I'm going out, neighbours really don't like it! Wife says she can hear me from the next village.
With a bit of luck I am going to try and get a run out later this morning to the Mega Store in Swindon. Will definitely be wrapped up. It will be the first run out since the beginning of October and I am really getting withdrawal symptoms.
Well am kitting up, first stop prob be petrol n maccies brekkie see ya later folks And if anyone is oop the Raven cafe around 12 ish, ill be the numpty on a victory red Blade wearing a kawasaki fleece n noisy can
[/IMG][/IMG] Yup really enjoyed the run down and back a little slimy in places but a good 'cough' pace was had both ways. Looks like my new found playmate has come all over shy on the photo .Perhaps we may get a couple of outings yet from now until xmas and into the new year .What keeps me going is the fact I was at The Pondarosa 2 boxing days ago when it was both drier and warmer than today .Nice bike and super GP style racket as well .Good to see a new member that actually puts in the big miles and as such he has been made an honorary member of The NORTHERN BOYS.
Well I was out today, but what a faff, base layer thermal, mid layer craft top, lightweight dainese jacket, gerbing heated jacket and then a showerproof throw over top. Big thick hein Gericke winter socks, cold killers leggings, dainese textile trousers and the Daytona boots. Felt like the Michelin man trying to get on the bike, but definitely worth it as I crossed the Pennines to manchester, proper freezing on saddleworth moor this morning. And only 2 mins of light drizzle all day.
The Pennines certainly sorts out the man from the boys and no mercy is given even in Summer so well done dude hope to see you on a couple of runs next year .
Hi. Maz we where only hovering around that nasty red blade thingy The boy was riding that shitter with the big mirrors all the way from Wolverhampton no. Less.
Def needed a hot cuppa on gerring back in! Not a bad day, around 80 mile all in n only topped the tank up with £10 fuel N great for learning how much grip you have in these slimy conditions, knowing cime summer n on hot days ur bike can lean over even more n at even greater speed Best way of keeping the bikes battery n suspension n brakes in working order to Roll on the next " Northern Boys " meetup
