I know that this years TT is just getting going but it was going to be my first time there, unfortunately I find myself in foreign climates.

Now for the good part......next year I am definitely going. So far it's me and a friend and we're bookings soon!

Can anyone recommend me the best camping locations and ferry websites for bookings?

There's also an opportunity to turn this into a forum meet for a week if everyone who's going books on the same site or in the same area if you're up for it. Let me know and we'll start putting something together, we might even get a group discount if there's enough of us ;)

You'll have to use the Steam Packet for your ferry, book early and it's reasonable. For camping I always go to the Sulby Claddagh's, you just need a pass and it's free (the pass is also free). Hope this helps.

    Hey mateys,

I've just booked the ferry aswell, probably going over on my own, but I am travelling over from Liverpool on 31st May early morning and coming back on 8th June. Staying in a mates back garden lol, 5 mins away from Bray Hill.

If you are hoping to get your bikes on the ferry you need to book NOW!!! bike spaces fill up quick!

I'm booked again for next year, got the crossings I like taking a TT virgin across with me (both of us on our bikes).

dont stay in the campsite at douglas rugby club, it maybe close to the town and pubs but is just a field and has no facilities. i tried it in 2012 not to be recommended.

I booked my ferry tickets for my brother and I plus our bikes within 24 hours of arriving home after this years races and like Ian E we didn't get the dates we wanted so you need to be booking it now tbh.
We'll be there from 28/5 til 2/6 so we'll see both practise and the racing but we stay with my mate and his family who live in Douglas so I can't advise you on places to stay I'm afraid.
What I can recommend is - take your bike. In the past we've gone as foot passengers but this year we took the bikes for the first time and it is so much more enjoyable it really is. Either way you'll love it :D

Just got an email with balance to be paid by 28th feb 14. Total cost of £236 for the ferry crossings with steam packet, less the £40 deposit and a bit of discount leaves £191 to pay. I'll be all paid up as camp site already paid for, staying at st Georges fc next to the grandstand. Can't wait till may now to see the heroes blast down bray hill.

If you have a spare booking for race week (Saturday to the following Saturday/Sunday) a mate may be interested in buying it off you.

    Cheers,

    Ian.
