Back in 2004 i bought a brand new 954 Blade. I loved it cherished it, took it on track days, modified it and have nothing but fond memories. I only sold it as I wanted to have another new Blade and did not feel as though I could have 2. I currently have a 2012 HRC Blade which I love and want to keep but I now want to also have another 954, I have seen quite a few for sale but I am really uncertain about the mileage. What do you guys think is a sensible mileage for this Blade? I seem to be looking for under 15k miles but I have seen 30k+ bikes that are claimed to be in super condition! I really fancy the Yellow colour as well. Any advice welcome. Cheers all.
Well it must be mate because that's a proper minger!! Big, I really like the 954's too and hope to have one at some point. Personally I wouldn't get hung up on mileage too much, history and conditon are IMO more important. Great example is the bike on this link, claimed low mileage but not something I'd personally consider.
Oh pal, i have just sold my 5400 mile RR2 in blue and white with Ohlins suspension and Gilles variobars, FSH and all the old mot's (plus some nice other bits and bobs), it looked like a new bike..... i did not even advertise it ! I simply asked (on a 954 forum) what members thought my extras were worth before i put it up for sale in March..... a guy pm'd me and wanted to buy it and come up from London. He did and rode it back 4 days later. It was lovely but for my daily commute it was a bit much, i like its physical size compared to other blades, i had it in Kais suspension for a service and it was next to an RR7 which looked enormous when compared to it.
