Just been sat in the kebab house reading the daily express and read that we are due the coldest winter for years and years, decades even! We all know how much the weather gremlins like to make a fuss but it has given me a bit of a conundrum. Winter has been mild so far in the shire.

I am doing my car test on the 12th dec (if we aren't under 10ft of snow)

I have just put a ton deposit down on an r6 which I am due to pick up on the 7th.

Was planning to ride the bike through the winter as I normally do OK, and save up to buy a van in march/feb time.

Dunno if I should lose the deposit on the R6 and just get a van, although I am leaving it a bit late to get a bike for racing.

Get the bike and just try to get to work via motorbike/cycle /bus etc.

Build a time machin and go back to my teens and spend less money on getting fcuked up and do my car license then and come back with an already kitted out van. (if this was the option I'd probably have started trackdays earlier too tho)

Final option, which is risky, is to do both and get the van on tick.

    Cheers

Did consider this sine and it's not a bad idea. Thing is thats 200 notes that could be spent on racing each month! :( I need to be rich

Use public transport to get about mate, you waited so long for the right bike, don't loose it now!
Plus a van still isn't going to be fun in the snow, I have a 4x4 and everyone expects me to run them every where in the snow but even that's not great when it comes to trying to stop!

How much would you be spending on buying a reasonable Van though?

I'd save for the van as transport and spend that! Even if cheapo but reliable transit...

It's done then. And then ALL your money is disposable after that. To easy to sign up for a few quid here, few quid there each month and before you know it, half your money is gone on the 1st of the month each month....

Keep your money flexible. And by doing that, you can do what you want with it.

Ponce a cheap van off your dad, promise weekly tip runs in it or something lol :)
