With the Harris clipons and the Brembo clutch lever the clutch cable isn't quite long enough. Any ideas where I can get a slightly longer clutch cable?

steve bets had a thread on this earlier this year i prusume you bought the harris clutch lever to go with slip ons? or are you using oe lever/harris have the and no prob with existing furiture quote manufactured from precision drawn high tensile H30 aluminium tube. After machining, it is polished and fitted with a lightweight nylon ball end. The handlebar fixture design ensures that, in the interest of safety, it is impossible for the handlebar tube to come out unless the pinch bolt is completely removed. Once fitted, the quick release design of the handlebar tube in the machined clamp means that in the event of damage, it is only moments work to slip out the offending handlebar tube and replace it with a new one. The handlebar tube of this product is the same size as standard so all handlebar furniture (throttles, switches etc) will fit. The handlebar and nylon ball end can be purchased seperately

Yes it is the new revised clutch lever with the revised diameter but it is extremely tight. So much so, its caused the clutch cable plastic to split at the lever end. It appears router correctly so looks like the only solution is a longer cable.

You are right Si ......... I've had both fitted at different times over the last couple of years and can confirm the HRC one is shorted than the original

As for Venhill ... I approached them and they didn't have the size or fittings in their data base but if I sent one in they would make any length you like

I've just purchased a Harris/Brembo clutch lever and perch to match the Brembo RCS M/C I haven't got round to fitting either yet as I'm full of man flu. There was no mention of needing a new clutch cable when I spoke to Harris - I had to wait an age for the revised lever/perch to come into stock so I was expecting this to be a straight swap with the stock item. Did Harris make any comment when you returned the lever?

    Cheers - Steve
