Hoping that means no need to show anything but the electronic means they suggest does not say no tax disc. Would thing mean a little black box that you put in your car or on your bike. Records stuff and passes onto the authorities, or they just mean if you get checked by the plod they can see you are taxed and have no more issues with not showing a tax disc. lets hope its the latter
The latter would be the logical route as all of the infrastructure is already in place. The Feds can, and do, get that info virtually instantly. No new costs involved and the saving of the printing and distribution costs. However, if there is a heightened requirement for more Big Brotherhood amongst the powers that be, a 'black box' on every vehicle is the perfect excuse.
They'll shit their pants at the thought of having to add an electrical device to the existing Italian system, mate. Then they'll ask if they come in carbon...
Because there is less work involved in the tax system prices should go down. Thats what the transport unions and AA/RAC are pushing for. Lets hope so cos paying £485 a year on my beemer hurts when the time comes round. Wouldn't mind if the roads were good. Got to get rid of all those tax disc holders in the shop before next October too
