Cold but no snow, up to Dudley for the weekend and seems I've been roped into a stag do Friday night. Should be fun and hope we don't get any snow
Giv, Its going to warm up around midnight and be pouring with rain by morning so no worries about de-icing car I don't think. Flame me if it does stay frosty but I don't think it will!
This is the frustrating pattern that happens every year . You think the salt has been washed away by the rain only to re- freeze and the gritting cycle starts again.
Brutal commute, freezing cold and blowing a hooley, roads as slick as hell, the last thing I needed was a bloody ABS light flashing as I moved off, yet again the Honda Anti Braking System rears its ugly head. Usual fix, stop, power right off and try again, second attempt it worked. Then the rain and sleet started driving in, even the palm trees had their quilted Armani jackets on this morning.
In anticipation of the cold snap, they cranked the heating right up and my train was too hot this morning!! So much so that I couldn't sleep!? Not happy i can tell you that.... I'd demand a refund if i paid for it lol
Yup it must av been bad ... from here to Dover which is only 9 miles there were 2 bikes parked up abandoned one after a round a bout and another after a bend Both looked a little sorry for them selves
Just a heads up for anyone traveling around the East coast and of course Scotland .There is an Artic blast coming in on Thursday bringing snow upto 200 mm deep .So carefully dudes .
Nearly dropped the bike last night on way home from work, slid the rear on the excessive amounts of grit they'd flung around the roundabout under junction 39 of the M1, the irony of it.
Not to bad here during the day, fog forecast tonight so cold tonight, but gonna be dry all week they reckon, hopeing dry w.end may get a run out in December
Looking bad tonight on The East coast worse tidal storm for 50 years Kent may take a beating hope you East coast boys escape this .
Luckily we dont get really bad weather here in the west mids, bit windy today but didnt last long. Been looking at facebook pics on mates pages from oop north, bloomin eck they got it bad, Oban is under water!! Oban where we normally park the bikes n go for a fish supper
This is up here by me, a new cinema, Morrisons, and Restraunt complex looks like it's going to be closed for a bit
Sad to say my home town 'Boston' is taking a bit of a hammering. Been in contact with Family and friends this evening and they are flooded out.
Gary, noticed a mate of yours has been flooded out. Got a sony 28 widescreen here he can have dude, may have some other things too, let me know.
Cheers Si, he will really appreciate the offer, Family been on phone they have now been evacuated, poor Lucy tells me the water is window sill level now, it reminds me very much how i spent some of my child hood watching the family heir looms bobbing around in the front lounge. I don't think we are talking food parcels yet but I'll let them all settle down and see what I can sort out over the weekend. 'no pun intended' there's a lot in the same boat at the minute, let's hope everyone gets through this. :Edit: before I get slated for diverting this thread. Snowed in Kirkham tonight. But it didn't settle.
