Yes your right Martin. But I'm sure if you new bike some insurance company inspection main dealer reports, vic etc.
I spoke to dvla and several insurance companies and all confirmed exactly the same that no VIC on bikes, just a new MOT which mine had. It also had a £1200 service 6 months ago which replaced nearly all the consumables. Cat c I learnt basically meant repairs cost more than bikes value (whereas cat d means uneconomical repair), given the side panels on these gsxr's are £600 and nose is £300, and seat unit is £350 I can see very easily how it ended up a write off. Seems like diablos in the wet are a serious problem then. Think I'll keep them for the summer and get some good winter rubber given thats one of the main reasons I bought it ... To run it through the winter. So Michelin power 3's are good in the wet and cold, any other suggestions?
which diablo's are they? the rosso's or the supercorsa's or the rosso corsa's?? if the later 2 definatley bin them for the winter, the first one I don't know, but the second ones are either for fast roadriders or track riders and the 3rd is also for fast road riders, both are sh*te in the wet….
what?! bikes and commercial vehicles DO NOT require a VIC check ( vic checks will also discontinued soon for cars) why on earth would they remove engine numbers off logbook? screams opportunity to have a stolen engine in there? and the idear of a VIC is to make sure all the numbers are correct! getting back onto subject may be worth paying £300 to have the frame checked for straightness, seen a few cbr's with ovel headstock's causing unstable riding
