Can anyone tell me how many Amps the Blades Alternator produces

I know Watts = Amps x Volts or Watts / Volts = Amps but no way of checking.

Found a link on another site that states the Alternator 954 produces 421 Watts is that the same Alternator as on my bike.

I'm running Oxford grips, Garmin 360LM and plan on hooking up my Gerbing Heated Jacket ready for my January ride down to San Miguel de Salinas in Spain. Via Chunnel and France.

My jacket has a max draw of 95 amps with heated gloves on full tilt but I only ever use the jacket.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Cheers Raymondo

Lol, I think most mains House supplies would struggle supply your Jacket if that was so! [IMG]

Gime a minute and I'll find out for ya!

Right then, Non ABS models output is 0.372kW, ABS model is 0.417kW

Thats way under half a KW output
If your Jacket really did consume 95amps then you'd need a Goldwing with a Trailer on the back to tow round the Generator you'd need!
Best av another look at the specs eh? ;)

I run a Kies heated jacket and heated grips on my blade and it is fine, no problems with battery charging. Mine is the new 2012 blade.

Cheers PeteT I had all sorts on the XT1200 so really wound it down to bare essentials so add the sat nav which draws very little I'm in the green. Brilliant news.

Thanks guys for the heads up! Best I sort my Watts out from my Amps in future LOL

Don't forget you also have lights - headlight, rear, brake, side, indicators and so on, instrumentation, fuel injection HT/spark plugs and the ECU which takes up and uses eletrickery. Add in heated clothing and grips and you could run out of all that electrickery at the end of a long run!
