Sorry to hear that Bud. Even worse to see it's an Orange cousin. If that happened to me I wouldn't be able to sleep till it was fixed.

Thanks to everyone that posted messages!
Sine is right I love a quad as I do ride all year round just my current route is more rural than before so less ridden/driven.
Whilst speaking to the locals after picking my bike up they say the spot is notorious for being iced up and they been petitioning for salt bin for years!!!
gonna leave the girl looking rough over winter and treat her to new clothes when crud weather clears up.
Knee seems fine just stiff tonight.
gonna check out cam as I had my drift on, so may have caught it in all its slow speed glory despite frosty lens. lol

Sorry to hear about this, Zip. Sucks but it's all mendable. I hope that your knee's feeling better soon.

Sorry to hear this zippy, its a bugger this time of year, often temp drops too late and they don't salt and the lanes are slick,at least the sphincter stays well exercised.

Safe commuting for the rest of the winter matey, and look on the bright side, the trafficking lanes are free of fair weathers now.

Sorry about your off Zipster. I had a slow speed off last November and did lots more damage. Front, rear and left fairings, indicators and due to R&G bungs front engine mount part of the frame.
Back tyre spun and that was it. I needed someone to pick the bike up but I wasn't hurt. Very slow speed.
A big thanks to Alan Ward, George Bird and Paul Styles (Doble Motorcycles), without them I wouldn't be back on my bike.
Take care out there everyone and have a safe Xmas.

lol if you could all watch this a few thousand times I could afford to fix her! lol
Seriously though this is the footage of the off, its a bit hazy due to fog and mist but does show you how quick it happens.

Sorry to see a fellow Repsol getting scraped, but at least you're ok.
They are quite difficult to stand back up aren't they !!
When mine fell over in my front garden (the kickstand sunk in the soft ground DUH ) I couldn't get a decent hand hold on anything solid, it's all shiny rounded plastic.
My daughter had to give me a hand picking it up...I felt a complete tit.
The blade is a lot lighter than my old Suzuki 600 but that has lumps and bits to grab so is a lot easier to get off it's side...done that more than once just wheeling it out of my garden !!

Hope the knee and blade are soon back to full health :)

From the vid it looked like it just went with no warning whatsover. The corner didn't even look that tight (the lens was a bit wet by then though).
    Glad you're OK though mate.

Just as an update, knee feels loads better just sore now so thats good!
been trawling ebay for replacement RH panel for 2011, nothing yet but thats not so bad as my bank is wiped out with chrimbo.
Do give me a heads up if someone wants to sell one or spots one on their net surfing.
looking back on video, it happens so quick.
just wonder if crash bungs may have helped...just read some posts about them causing damage to frames when they go instead of plastics??
