BBC Sport - Andre Villas-Boas: Tottenham sack manager

was there last night - and they were shocking tbh, worst i've ever seen them play.

not about the results, its the way they have been playing with what is a brilliant squad.

knee jerk, maybe... and i really wanted him to do well and have a bit of stability at the club....

god knows who they will get to replace him though??

Poor you. I was listening on the radio, and that was painful enough!

He absolutely had to go though. Great managers can completely re-think their system mid-game to counteract the opponents... AVB hasn't managed to re-think his system in 6 months!

it was hard going i must admit...

but they were really bad, just like all season they seem to run out of ideas in minutes! were very very flat.... not even a single shot on target....

played well as 442 the odd time he has done that but like you say, he seems fixed on "his system" which doesnt seem to work.

hey ho - another season wasted.... be interesting over next few days as to who will be speculated as a replacement....

    Indeed!!

Tbh, I don't get too emotional about it these days.... I love going when i get the chance but it is only a game of football.

Be interested to see how it all pans out though.

What was the txt you sent me before the game about how the Gooners got on?

Phew- from the title thought another forum member had hung up their leathers.

Feel for you Jimbo it is horrible losing like that.Especially to them *****S.But to be fair all the top clubs have had a bashing at some time TH's was last night. Personally I like what AVB has done at TH just needed a kick up the arse and not a kick out of the door.
Just hope my football managing career goes ok now that the joint manager has decided to walk at the end of the season:rolleyes:

Well it isnt something you tend to brag about mate!! :(

should go, it's an amazing experience if you go to a good game / ground where there is good atmosphere.

I think he would of been ok long term, but the style of footy was pants and not acceptable with the quality of player brought into the club imo.

and not just this one though, 6 at Man city and 3-0 to west ham this season already!?!? :(

i'm sure you will be fine, those 11 year olds are far more professional :)

WHL is right up there as one of the best grounds to watch a match, providing Spurs are playing well. A few years ago when I was flush, I took 3 mates to WHL... they're not Spurs fans, but had never been to a premier league game... it was against Watford when Robbo scored... they still talk about the atmosphere, the noise and singing.

Having said that, when its not going too well its like being in church!

Jimbo.......as a long suffering season ticket holder probably was the worst performance since Gerry Francis days.....really thought AVB would do something special but like you say we have not played the "gung ho" lilywhites footy for a season and half now and the fact that we have conceded so many goals of late is a sure fire way onbieng shown the door, especially witha ruthless Chairman like little Daniel.......trouble is who the hell is out there at the moment Capello (God no thanks) Hiddink (too old now)......maybe Laudrup but I would welcome the return of the Messiah Mr Hoddle now that he has not so "evangelical" and Ms Drury is out the picture.

At least Suzanna Reid stayed in Strictly.....:D

It's like being in church at highbury when they are 3-0 up! Lol

Your right though - It is great at whl though when it's good I must admit. Liverpool fans were good last night (they had plenty to cheer about) really would like to go to anfield for a game.

My bro went to Newcastle and said that was good!!

We went to Madrid for the CL game and even though we lost that night, was truly epic stadium and atmosphere.

As a liverpool fan I loved the game yesterday afternoon, we were awesome, in my opinion all that money they got for bale should of invested in some defenders, we looked like scoring every time we went forward, and £100 million worth of attacking midfielders/strikers can't even get a shot on target , Suarez on his own has scored more goals than spurs all season and he was banned at the start!!
