Yep no other form of transport for me but it is the trusty CBF500 and not the Blade.

My blade is my toy, so no need to use it unless I want to go out and have fun. Which I want to do but been either to cold or wet or being blind in my right eye has not helped the last few months :(

    All year around here too.
Today was my first day back on it in a month due to working overseas, poxy pads were welded to the discs where it must have been parked up wet the night before I went away.
I had drop the clutch to free the front wheel up.

I don't know how you guys park up all winter and then get back on after 6 months off, mine felt like the tyres were flat, the headbearings shot and the brakes glazed after a month,
felt like a pile of poo for the first 10 miles this morning, or it may just have been me I guess.

Longest I've been out of the saddle since I bought the blade is probably about 5 days, but even after that I felt like there was something wrong!! Sometimes its all in your head I think. The amount of times I've stopped thinking something's fallen off the bike or I've got a flat...

or maybe Jimbo, it is the thought of going racing next year that is luring you away from the road this winter? That little voice in the back of your head calling you to the track. Trust me, that voice doesn't go away, it only gets louder and louder.

I'm still riding every day but flipped over to the gsxr to get that all crapped up over winter. Really miss riding the blade but I'm too busy or lazy to wash it off regularly. I've soaked the gsxr in acf50 and fingers crossed it'll still look good in spring. Had a few scary moments on the slippery roads but it looks like my suspension settings are way way out, plus the tyres are not too clever either. I like riding in the dark a lot, but dark with heavy rain is already starting to wear me down. The draw of the Volvo is strong.

I haven't ridden since October. I don't have any cold weather gear and to be honest I ride the bike to have fun. Tippy-toeing around, freezing my balls off and hoping that some eejit doesn't t-bone me isn't my idea of said fun.

I'm only riding still because I haven't bought a van yet, if I get one the blade will be getting stripped, cleaned and serviced before being stored until the season starts again!

Done it for years as a teenager on the fs1e,ybfs1e,Rd's etc.If you dropped it you could pick it back up and away you went.Even bent the front forks once buried into a Metro and still rode home. The Blade is a long term bike that I'd like to enjoy on nice days, maybe another bike will come along at the right time just to use as a winter hack.A naked bike would be what I'd look for with a comfortable back seat for the missus to come out with.

you might be right mate. perhaps i just don't want to admit it....

don't think i could ever give up the road or tours, but im finding going out on my local roads dodging traffic less and less appealing.... ive even started looking at more "road based" bikes as my daily grind....

whats happening to me? im scared....
